First one is the bad barbie look

I loved this look when it came out but Im darker skinned and I didn't think it looked right on me.

I can replicate the 2nd and 3rd, (i do my makeup similarly) except for the hot pink i use the loreal hip-they have a really great electric pink. otherwise i just put on the silver color and blend really well
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?
OMG WTF is wrong with that chicks face?
wow...the girl in the 1st pic needs to stop seriously, she has to know that looks a hot fried mess.

Yeah I know I just think I would look crazy.
May her shadow is airbrushed.
For ? like this I really miss LatinaRose for makeup tips
The silver goes in the crease, right?
Your pain, I feel it. I have blending problems with cheap Sephora brushes I bought in their "smoky eye" kit. Ugh. I feel so gypped -- never again. Also, cheap drugstore and Sephora brand eyeshadows suck for blending.
Things that help me blend:
-Use a quality, very soft eyeshadow brush (I have only one, but it's MAC, and I love it. When it was stolen I bought a replacement from MAC again. That's how invaluable it is.)
-Use eyeshadow primer (MAC paint or shadestick, UD PP, or in a pinch just liquid foundation or concealer). Your makeup lasts longer, looks brighter, resists creasing and goes on smoother.
-Use enough eyeshadow. If you have a ton of trouble blending it, maybe you're using too dark a shade and trying to spread it really thin. You can do this, but make sure you lay down a light or nude shade first.
-Use a feather light touch to blend. Too heavy a hand and you will drag or smudge it.
-If you have two brushes, use one brush to pat or sweep on the eyeshadow. Blend with an even softer brush.
Also... wear anything for a couple hours and it will soften up. :-)
Hot damn, these are gorgeous.
I don't KNOW how, but here's how I would try:
Start with flawless skin. Cover whole face with foundation and cover up any imperfections, especially around nose/mouth. Powder liberally.
Pink eyeshadow (Sushi Flower maybe?) all over lid, up into inner corner and toward eyebrow. Bright highlight (Nylon, bc I own it) on inner corner, middle of lid to open up eye, and browbone. Silver in crease. Crazy lashes and eyes lined on top with black Fluidline.
The darker-skinned girl has a spring green (Bitter maybe?) on her lower lids.
Matching pink blush dusted on hollows of cheeks, temples (optional) and along jawline. Highlight (you could even use Nylon again) on cheekbones, chin and down bridge of nose.
Hot pink lipstick (I would use Girl About Town bc I own it, but I don't think that's the exact shade they used) slathered in clear gloss.
If I try it, I'll take a picture and let you guys know how it went.

what site are these pics off of? the makeup is awesome

WOW thank you for that very descriptive awesome response; now I know I need new brushes and new colors, looking back at these pics I can tell so much work went into them-since they are so stunning and perfect---If you attempt please post your pics; I'm sure it would be Fabulous![]()
Kikidejavu: They are googled images that I believe came from the Barbie Mac cosmetic campaign.

I dont like them because I believe they are overpriced. Also the salesgirls always make me look like a tranny.
I love Bare Minerals. Their shadow colours are amazing, the makeup lasts a reaaally long time, and it's hypo-allergenic and non-comogenic. Also liquid foundation makes my skin flip out.

Um....that first pic isn't a real person is it??? Ugh!
The other pics are cool though. I don't wear any type of makeup. But I am curious as to the BareEssentials line.
LkLucky- you are slamming! Post some pics of your makeover whenever you do it.

MAC has so many releases, it isn't hard to find a duplicate color- that is if you know or keep up with all their products.
Women of color:
Shake your ass and preserve your heritage.
Bang those fucking drums.
Do it for the present and future generations.
Have fun and stick it to the man at the same time. (bad-dominicana)
The white girl also has on fake lashes with black liquid liner to create a solid lash line. Don't forget that part!
And then there's the liberal use of Photoshop to help achieve the airbrushed look.
I swear to God, someone needs to invent some super-industrial foundation primer that plasticizes your face, and call it Photo Shop.![]()

If you want to purchase the exact same products used in the MAC promo images from the Barbie Loves Mac collection I am sure you can find them on Ebay.
They are as follows:
Eyes:
Whistle e/s
Moth brown e/s
Playful e/s
Magic Dust e/s
Cheeks
Pearl Blossom beauty powder
Pearl Sunshine beauty powder
Dont be Shy Blush
lips:
Rocking Chick lipstick
Malibu Barbie lipglass
HTH =O)

Those second two pics have been so highly airbrushed to give the look of a barbie doll. The look can be achieved but it will never look that extreme.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

There is a fabulous silver shadow that REALLY stays: it's "Ooh and Ahh" by "Two Faced" and is 1/2 of a small compact, the other is a glittery black...
I adore MAC but their metallics seem to sink away after a short time.
Those girls and their makeup is TDF...lots of highlighting on the faces as well!
That first person,if she is real is just plain ol' scary. Poor thing if she is human she will not age well.
I heard Chevy Chase call Sarah Palin a "Caribou Barbie" and died laughing, would be fun to see what MAC did with THAT look?
