I did it!
Well, I did it, I didn't back down!
I did get drunk as shit first though which probably wasn't good lol.
I did good. I didn't win though, I came in second place behind a really hot chick who honestly brought in like 10-15 friends with her to cheer for her. Considering I had ONE friend with me I think thats pretty good. Lots of guys loved me and worshipped me and had I been able to actually try and hustle dances that night (the amateur night is different, the girls don't work the floor or anything), I would have made some money. The girls were nice for the most part. Being in the dressing room getting ready was a little odd, very much a vibe of being on someone elses territory but they were all really sweet to me besides one who was a little catty (I asked her if she was here for amateur night because she was in there getting ready at the same time I was and she was like "What do I look like an amatuer?!" and I was like "Nooo your gorgeous I like your skirt, etc" then went on to the other girls like oh I better practice cuz I look like an amatuer apparantly *roll eyes at me* lol wtf bitchy girls are funny)
I danced to "She drives me crazy" by the fine young cannibals and "Apologize" by Timbaland. They told me to come back Thursday night if I want a job. So I basically have a job, I don't know if I want to go back or not though. It was a good experience for sure, and I know I can do it now. It's just, it would be hard working both jobs (I have a 9-5 day job right now too). Then again, I need money. I need money to travel. I also found last night that the "I'm just a normal girl doing this so I can make some extra money to fund my travels around the world" thing was a great way to sell dances. Like I said I couldn't actually sell dances last night but I did talk and flirt with a lot of guys who said they would come back and buy dances from me if I got a job there to help "Fund my trip" so thats cool. No one was disrespectful, the guys who didn't find me attractive simply ignored my presence and the guys who did sent me smiles and looks from across the room signalling that they were the ones to go talk to.
Overall I'm definitely glad I did it, I think I'm pretty awesome for rocking so hard my first time out.
The only thing I regret a little was drinking so much because I was wasted and it makes my night a lil blurry, I don't want to get into the habit of drinking to do will myself up there. One of the girls in the dressing room said that for her first two months she had to do two shots before getting on stage. I definitely don't want that!
So now I know I can do it the question is where do I go from here? A lot to think about. Thank you guys for all your help!

Re: I did it!
Congratulations!!
Maybe you can just work a couple days a week so it doesn't interfere with your day job?...

Re: I did it!
glad you did it! yeaaa i wouldn't make a habit out of getting wasted everytime you go into work... I drink from time to time while at work but I always watch my limit and never pass it.
I used to work a part-time job and stripped while attending school full time... it was doable but now that I quit my part-time and just dance from time to time I am able to put more effort into my school work. See if this club requires a set schedule.. if not then you can do what I do and just go in when you have the time/energy.
