Summer, with its conventions is hands down the best. January to March kind of blows, but it's still decent, at least relative to cost of living around here.
All shifts are available, there is a schedule, they'd *like* you to be scheduled for at least 4 days, but there's some wiggle room on that. And you can come in on your off days if you need an extra shot of cash in the arm.
They're usually hiring, I can't imagine why they wouldn't be. Though they didn't hire out of state girls for the DNC. I'll check tonight and get back to you. As far as audition goes, just walk in and say you want to audition. I recommend coming in during dayshift, 2-4 or so, just because it's les chaotic then, and the management is in a better mood.
House fee is $20 for dayshift (free if you're there at opening, 11 am), $50 for weeknight, and $60 for Thurs, Fri and Sat nights. Sat and Sun opening is at 5, and again, free house fee. Tip outs are DJ, housemom and bouncers. Only mandatory is DJ, and they're really cool about it if you had a bad night or something.
It is a gown club, dress code is "long gowns and classy cocktail dresses", main attraction is either VIP or CR, both of which are extensions of the "off the list". Charge what you like for that, contract rate is $100, and that's lowballing hard. Club takes $25 for every hour of the list.
Stage is on a rotation, 3 song sets, we have four stages (but no poles, oddly), but you only hit one per rotation. It's a very heavey dance money club, one way contact only. Very clean club, I haven't seen many extras going on, and those that do have been of the "touching a leg" variety, not the "at risk for stds" variety.
No drink quota, but it is encouraged to get something expensive to help the waitress.
I rather like it, though there have been a lot of corporate orders coming down for silly promotions, but they're more an annoyance than a hinderence. Management is really cool, same with staff. They're actually on our side.
Hope that helps, I'll try to come back when I think of more.
