It appears that Miami-Dade County has voted Democratic and Republican in the Presidential Elections however, in the state and local government elections seats are primarily taken by Republicans. With the increasing Cuban-American population and their propensity to vote Republican, you will see (through living, working, and playing in) Miami-Dade County that it is primarily Republican. Thus, you can still take them... Thank you...

I am very glad that the map you posted portrays a shift for a more qualified candidate with Bachelor's in political science with a specialization in international relations (clearing throat -- something we need NOW) from Columbia, a JD from Harvard, and experience in community revitalization (something our communities need now with failing American homes everywhere...) They would be crazy not to vote Blue now... Especially with how bad the South Florida communities have suffered through this credit crisis. I live in a nice quaint suburban community in South Florida and ALL of my closest and dearest neighbors are gone... They couldn't afford their mortgages!

Well i wasn't responding to your post. I wanted to show that there are no such thing as blue state. Pic clearly illustrates that USA is not divided between red and blue states. Better comparison would be rural areas versus cities.

Dudes - it was a freaking joke. It wasn't meant to be discussed in depth or pulled apart to determine how accurate it was. It's just a little haha to lighten up Member Boards.

I love how serious you guys get when dissecting a joke.
I love how something that makes fun of republicans and christians is just a 'joke' but if you try and turn it around you're being: racist, rude, ignorant, bias etc.

Why are you directing this at me? Have I said something to offend? (aside from a difference of opinion)

*blink*blink* Um...What? How is the reference to conservatives, "you guys", somehow the same as calling the same aforementioned conservatives "racist, rude, ignorant, bias etc."

    wow.

    No.

You made a comment about conservatives, "you guys", getting serious about a joke. I added the comment that a joke aimed at conservatives and christians (typical red state people) is ok, but when we (conservatives) make a joke about liberals, etc. we're called racist, rude, bias. etc.

I certainly don't speak on behalf of all liberals, but I like a good bit of fun being poked at me every once in a while. A lot of the stereotypes on both sides are frequently true.

Yeah, I don't know why people get that impression of right wing humor:

"Not to worry, though, since we’re sure that Islamic fundamentalist terrorists will be more than happy to reach an accommodation with a society that embraces radical feminism, gay marriage, gun control, hostility to organized religion of any kind, and Salman Rushdie. Good luck with that."

"Well, imagine our relief that you’ve decided to secede and form some sort of bathing-optional commune headquartered in California. The money we'll save in aspirin, now that we won’t have headaches from listening to your interminable whining, will be worth it to us alone."

"We'll finally be rid of you lazy, moping, latte-sucking Streisand fans now that you're actually going to follow through--for once--on your promise to finally get off your butts and leave, as so many of you claimed you would every election cycle and then chickened out of actually doing. (Yeah, we’re looking at you, Alec Baldwin.)"

When have I ever said that? Okay, I may have pointed out ignorance, but if you take that personally, that is your issue and doesn't in any way reflect on how I feel.

If I should comment on why a particular policy decision by conservatives as wrong or ignorant, I'm commenting on the policy not those who agree with the policy.

But I guess arguing about imaginary things is a good way to pass the time, huh?

I don't even know what your talking about now... I wasn't directing anything at you, I just quoted you because you said "you guys" it summed up what atleast two other people had said. Jesus, take it down a notch.

Well if that little gem pissed people off, this is really going to make your head explode.

Again, it's supposed to be funny so nobody get your panties in a bunch...just go find something that speaks just as badly of Northerners so we can have a laugh at that.
