It honestly depends on the customer. Married customers seem to be comforted by my marital and parental status--especially the ones who are obviously guilt-struck for being in a strip club in the first place. I enjoy encountering married customers as we usually end up talking about how much we love our children, how nervous we were at our weddings, ect..

I tell the bachelors that I'm a single mother and that between work and the baby I have absolutely no time to do anything. Only the extreme pricks will ask for my number at this point.

Though he is incredibly motivating and supportive now, prior to our marriage my husband was a bouncer at my club (I'm so bad!) so he did go through a bit of a jealous stage while we worked together.

I am honest with the customers about my husband, kinda.

Yes, I tell them I am married if they ask. When they get that look (you know what one) I simply tell them, "Well, do you want me to lie to you? I mean I could lie, lead you on, piss you off and give you the impression that I do not give a damn about you and only want your money. Or I can be honest with you, have a drink together, and have an absolute rocking time being out of the damn house and away from our spouses. What's it going to be?"

I cannot lie about my husband. It's like saying he does not exist anywhere and that would hurt me and him. He takes it as bragging rights. I have the opportunity to go home with any guy of my choosing and do what ever I wanted with them BUT I do NOT. He says he loves it that I come home to my ugly geeky hubby instead of being flaky.

If they ask if I have kids, I say yes. I mean, I have a c-section scar and they are gonna see it anyway if I'm at a nudie bar. They get all impressed that I have had 5 kids and am still a small girl

I find that if I am honest about my relationship, I do better. I also feel better about the whole thing. I can only lead them on so far.

When I was dancing (at the same club for 5 years) most of my regulars were family guys and they loved it that I was honest with them. We'd ask each other about our families and see who was doing what. One of my regulars was impressed that I remembered his daughter was pregnant with her second little girl and the fact that I remembered her due date and her oldest child's name. The man was so impressed, he went out of his way (more so than usual) to make sure I had a good night.

Long story short, this is how I make a connection with a customer and by making this connection, I do very very well. Doesn't work for everyone but it does for me.

If you are young and hot, appear to be single but never be single if you know what I mean. I'm not too sure if my strategy would work for younger girls.

I am always honest about being married. It hasn't effected my money making at allllllllll. In fact, the men spend more on me when they hear this and I think it's because they see me in a different light, like "Yes...she is a stripper, but she's still wifey material". They can relate to me in that way so they feel more comfortable spending time with me. After talking to a customer for a little while and I let them know I'm married, all they want to do is talk, I get paid $100 to sit and talk to a guy for 3 or 4 songs about married life.

Oh to answer your last question...my husband isn't completely comfortable about me dancing, but he is supportive. It helps out a lot with our financial situation and my bad physical health (because I work less) and I try to remind him of that. He comes to the club every once in a while to get used to me being there.

That's great. I'm going to say something along those lines the next time I get "the look".
