    Default Dancerswealth-does anyone have this?

Lets just have a discussion about it. I am interested. Feel free to answer my questions below

Did you find it to be helpful/increase your sales success rate?

Do you thing you average more money per night now?

I just ordered mine and I'm thinking maybe $300 is a little too much to spend on a book and CDs.

I really hope its worth it.

Oh yeah, what kind of packacging did it arrive in?
I have a lot of family staying with me right now and they think I bartend at the club, not dance.

We pulled the home study course off the shelves in May, when I took the company over. We are currently designing an interactive online course that will be available as soon as we can get the site up and running.

Your card should not have been charged, as we dismantled the shopping cart. I will look into the matter.

I was one of the first students who went through the Dancerwealth Seminar. It completely shifted my perspective.

You can read my blog about it here

No way. You took over Dancerswealth? Awesome, I bet you're doing well. Yeah, I ordered it earlier today and my paypal said it went through. The shopping cart is dismantled...Does that mean I will have to wait longer??

I'm excited to see what its all about.

I'm opening up your blog right now

I took the IRL course, and it came with the cd's. Sometimes when I need a little extra motivation I still listen to them and they DO seem to help. I don't even know if its the tips the program teaches, or I just pick up the confident speaking style. But yes, it does work.

I listen to the 20 minute Study Guide all the time in the car when I'm driving to work.

Will students who purchased the CD set in the past by any chance get a discount on the interactive guide? I'd love to check it out and see if there are any updates, but I don't want to shell out $300 for the same material.

And to those who asked, I am REALLY happy I ordered the set. It really changed my perspective on my dancing as a business.

Yes, DW graduates will have access to all the updated materials....I haven't figured out the logistics of it all yet, but I have two tech guys working on it. I never knew how much WORK went into creating an online course!

DancerWealth has been around a long time, so you could consider it a good investment. I don't remember exactly how long... but long. Abriana Denise used to run a hands on training program WAY back (OMG, I'm dating myself here), which she marketed through EDC. I think when EDC merged with SW it was a year or two before DancerWealth started. The people behind it, including Avalon/Britney have plenty of experience in what it takes to be a top producer in the clubs. Just be sure not to forget that you can take it as a tax write off since it's for business!

Is there a guesstimate on when the new Dancerwealth course will be available? Since it is online will it be instant access to the materials?

I did the home course but had a hard time committing my time to it. Plus I had to borrow a CD player to listen to the CD's LOL... I'm all mp3, I don't have a cd player, so the online course is a GREAT idea!
After I have my baby and get back to dancing, I think I'll attend the live seminar in Vegas if they're still doing that.

Yes it will be instant access to the materials, anytime, anyplace via your computer. I spend the last 3 days working on the software and hope to have it up by Jan 2009. I have a new found appreciation for how HARD it is to get a decent website up and running!

Just wondering if the interactive online course was still going to be launched this month or if the date has been pushed back?

So glad to see a real dancer running that business now! I found Adam to be a major turn off. To the point that I didn't feel comfortable recommending the course to newbies I met. Now when I see a newbie with potential I can recommend the course and feel good about who will be helping her

The site is being coded right now (meaning I approved the design, the logo, the layout, filed the trademark paperwork, etc.) It's just waiting for the software designers to write it in computer language and make it actually WORK!

I don't want to give too much info away, but I have drastically lowered the initial price and included a monthly membership fee. So instead of it being one workbook that you buy and have to force yourself complete on your own, it is going to be a series of online courses, instructional videos showing you HOW to implement the techniques, a members-only forum (because we DON'T need another SW or EDN copy-cat forum) to discuss each lesson, and more.

Like any membership, you can cancel the monthly fee at any time. I felt this was an important component that the original course was missing. Ongoing feedback and having a mentor are crucial to developing a skill. Sales is a skill anyone can learn. So instead of a big upfront cost, you just pay a little as you go.

    And thank you Lucy!

I just wanted to let everyone know that some of the talent agencies are starting to ask if you've gone through the Dancerwealth training course. So if you have been on the fence thinking about it, and you are serious about this business, I would strongly suggest taking the course when it goes online - especially since the price will be lower!

because entertainers who can prove they have passed a sales training course are more valuable than entertainers who don't know how to promote themselves and the clubs ammenities (i.e. champagne or VIP dances)

Likewise an entertainer can command a higher base pay per booking if she is certified and can increase the club's sales revenue.

Thanks for the feedback Rocket! It helps me decide what content to keep. I've pretty much taken all the common knowledge stuff out (i.e. everything we discuss on Hustle Hut) and created an applicable step by step system to execute.

The old home study course was designed for someone with zero sales training. I've added some more advanced techniques. Now it's just waiting for the technology to work....

It all comes down to money. If a dancer books through an agency, they want to know that they are providing the club with a dancer who can pull her "weight". Basically the dancers earnings need to offset any travel/lodging cost that the club incurs for the dancer to be there. So the more capable she is of selling dances and getting tips, the more she'll be paying out in stage fees to cover those costs.

hey, it made me rethink a few things... I think it helped me out. It never hurts to learn more. I'd take the advanced course. Hell, even if you've been in this business for awhile it never hurts to take a refresher course.

I bought the DW course a couple years ago. It wasn't to beneficial for me BUT I will say I wholeheartedly support AZAvalon aka Britney Ireland on her new ownership of Dancerwealth. I'm looking forward to learning advanced sales skills from her program!
