    Default Desparation ?

Is it just me or does anyone else think it is strange that the Mccain camp is sending out "Joe the Plummer" to officially campaign for them ? If he just a regular guy it seems very risky in a campaign where every gaffe is magnified.

It looks like he may already be in hot water

Yeah - what the heck is that all about? I mean really - who the fuck is Joe the Plumber? How is he going to be a surrogate for any damn thing? And if he's so worried about Obama raising taxes (even though he will actually benefit from Obama's tax plan) maybe he should pay his damn taxes first.

The McCain campaign is really really grasping at straws and yes, they are desperate.

I still think McCain is throwing the election on purpose because he's secretly an Obama supporter. I can't find any other reasonable explanation for the horrible job he's done in this election.

the 'tin foil hat' crowd will tell you that the best long term result for the republican party would be to allow the US to have a democratic president plus filibuster proof democratic majorities in both houses of congress for the next 4 years. If McCain were to win, when the 2012 election rolls around mainstream media and democratic politicians could blame HIM for all of the country's problems. But if the democrats have complete control, then they will be hard pressed to find someone else to 'blame' things on in 2012.

^^ Well, I can imagine them saying "We can't undo the damage eight years of Bush has done in just four years. Give us four more". And being in the tank, the MSM would be supporting that position.

That's really pathetic. Joe the Plumber is not even a plumber.

Joe was here in Dayton today...like a couple of blocks from my office, speaking at a local bar and grill. I wish I had known beforehand. I think it would have been cool to attend

Joe the Plumber may fear a tax increase, but I sure wish I made enough to get that tax increase.

You're assuming that things won't get better by 2012. In reality, they most likely will.

there are plenty of conservative dems with constituencies to keep happy. obama will be a pretty centrist kinda guy and frankly may well skate through two terms and history will go 'way better than bush 2', because a ceiling fan would be better than bush 2 as far as running the country somewhere other than into the ground goes.

I'm so sick of that Joe the Plumber shit too! What is he even supposed to represent? A sheiesty middle class dude trying to buy a business he isn't even legally licensed to operate?
