Don't worry, my skin is real bad but after I've done my make-up, you can't even tell. Especially in the club where its darker, and honestly, your skin isn't what the guys are staring at

I guess a bad complexion might put a few guys off... but I don't see it being a huge deal. Plus it's dark in the club so with enough make-up you should be fine.
Just make sure you treat your skin well and wash your face thoroughly because working a few nights a week can really take a toll on your face(the heavy make-up and sweat, not a good combination)

    MY ACNE SOLUTION... THE SUN!

I haven't researched this but it is my very strong opinion that regular exposure to direct sun light does wonders for chronic skin problems of all sorts.

Unfortunately working nights keeps many away from the daylight. Sun exposure can damage the skin as we know but I think this fact has many variables specific to each individual person.

It is also a fact that the sun has many health benefits providing vitamin D. Those who have heathy vitamin D levels live longer, healthier lives. Do a google search for "heath benefits of vitamin D" from the sun.

Lack of sunlight has shown to negatively effect the mental state and feelings of wellness of oneself (depression). And scientific studies have proven sunlight can reverse these negatives (that could be) due (in part) to lack of sunlight.

I've even read an article once saying the sun made breasts firmer and fuller or helped keep the shape and form as one ages. Don't know if it's true. The article was opinion not science, from a "new age" type.

If do you try the sun as I suggested, get back to us and let us know how you feel it helped or not?

One's true beauty will always shine through. Work how you want. If you want to wear cover-up, wear cover-up. If you don't, don't. What I choose to do really shouldn't matter. What others choose to do have no barring on my success. I do what works best for me. I'd be crazy to try to play catch-up with every girl and guy comment in the club. Not everyone will like your look, acne or not.

this is true. i have shocking eczema, which included nasty scarring in the creases of my elbows and knees. i always noticed that in the summer it cleared up a lot. i would have thought it would be worse in summer because of sweating but i eventually figured out that sun exposure was the key. i now go to the solarium once a week for 10 minutes only and my eczema has amost disappeared.

the tanning salon i go to actually has a special, very weak solarium which is specifically for people with skin problems, so if you're afraid of the UV it won't cook you.

as a side note in relation to controlled sun exposure - a tan is your skin's natural defence against sunburn. so a little UV exposure which gradually builds up a natural tan will protect you from melanoma. it is sunBURN which is dangerous.

but yeah i definitely recommend the solarium for your skin.

Yeah when I used to tan in the beds it made my skin amazing. I talked to my doctor and it's because the uv rays dry up the oil in your pores. It's not a good way to get rid of acne because the long term damage is worse, but for now it's a great solution and I still tan outside once a week or so.

Now that it's winter, I think I'm gonna start the beds again. I love my tan buttcheeks. Hehe.

As long as it's not raining or snowing...

The benefits of direct sunlight are still bountiful in the winter months.

Not like the warmer months, but still accessible.

I have acne problems and I used to slather on the dermablend. I'm also very lazy so after months of having to "put on my skin" I just said FUCK IT and don't even put cover up anymore. I also have really bad stretch marks. Sometimes I still cover those up but honestly no one has said anything yet. I know that they must be visable even on stage, but the hassle of wearing so much dermablend is greater than the potential asshole pointing out my flaws. But like I said, I have pretty severe scaring from the stretch marks, and no one has said anything yet. I've wanted to ask the girls if they can see them while I'm on stage, but honestly I don't even want to know! Ignorance is bliss lol. And I've seen no change in my earnings with or without the make-up. It feels better to go without the body cover up becuase I feel more like myself. I feel like people are accepting me for me.

I don't know if your stretch marks are visible on stage, but I doubt the guys would care anyway. I'm sure you're gorgeous and guys know we're real people with real issues just like they have theirs. Most guys like real bodies anyway.

I'm a white girl with a big booty and one of the dancers at my club told me the manager didn't really want to hire me because I'm a coke bottle shape. But honestly, I've had so many guys (of all types) compliment me on my body since I started dancing, it actually made me feel a lot more bangin about my body. And I have some stretch marks and all that, I just forget about them when I'm struttin my hot self in the club, just like I'm sure all you girls do.

I have a question though...how can you get sun in the winter time? I, for one, absolutely HATE the cold and want to be outside for as little as possible once it gets chilly. And how does a tanning bed compare? Can it give you vitamin D? I know they use the same rays as the sun...
Would it be the same if I was laying in the sunlight coming through the windows in my living room?
    Just wondering...

Just being in the sun even if it is a very cold day still exposes you to the sun. You don't have spend hours and hours, just do it regularly.

I think sitting inside at a window is still good.

This is all helpful prevention but when the issue is immediate, "sun bathing" is the best.

Tanning beds are helpful in a crisis, especially if they have a solarium bed for skin issues.

I don't think acne is that big of a deal to most men, although if you're insecure about it you should probably take care of it because it could hurt you confidence.
I use this face scrub from Avon,it's simply amazing and fairly cheap.

Thanks all of you for the info and putting in your personal strories as well,it really helps. The club I am going to start working at is real dim I could barely see the girls faces so i don't think Ill have a problem with them seeing, like I thought I would. Plus Im going to buy better makeup, because some of the mineral makeup has healing properties in it,and I know from experience that I had a sample of one and it cleared my skin up a lil,so once I start bringing in money ill get some of that off of the internet.
