Default Insurance for a BA - what doc stated - Advice PLEASE

I went for my BA consult yesterday and my doc kept telling me that my health insurance will cover problems/complications that arise after my augmentation such as the extra hospital admittance, etc. The doc also brushed off any problems and kept stating "Oh, just write it off to insurance."

Everywhere I have read, insurance will not do any of this for elective surgery.

Has anyone heard of this during a BA consult?

Has anyone used CosmetAssure - it is a plastic surgery insurance?

I got insurance on my implants from the actual company that produced them...I think it covers the replacement implants and surgery cost in FULL if something happens to them in the first 5 years or so....but never heard of any sort of other plastic surgery insurance from my surgeon. one of my best friends works for a plastic surgeon and never mentioned anything like that to me about my surgery, either...i don't know girl! maybe it wasn't mentioned b/c i'm on my husband's health insurance plan?

I don't know if your regular health insurance will cover post-op complications or not...I would assume it would depend on the issue that arose.

my insurance on my boobs covers the bag. If they pop or anything doc will fix them for free. i have to pay for the anasthesiolgist though. Just call your insurance company and ask them if they would cover post op complications due to plastic surgery.
