    Default Pulled a muscle

I did a search but couldn't find a thread about a pulled groin muscle. It happened last night, I believe while I was doing the splits on stage. It's a dull but constant pain. Thanks to my daughter, I found out just how much it hurts!! She asked me to race with her and I tried to start running but couldn't, I also kind of limp around. Anyone have any advice about how to fix this?? I don't work again until Thurs, but would like the pain to ease up a bit!!

Take something for pain and take a warm bath. And try to rest.

maybe hot epsom salt soaks and some light but frequent massages and stretching. definitely don't strain yourself anymore! keep you muscles warm by wearing sweatpants or something, it helps keep the muscles loose. and depending on where you live, if the air conditioner is still running in your home, turn it off bc a/c is bad for muscle flexibility.

i pulled a muscle last year and it hurt so bad that night and the next morning i could hardly walk. i ordered in a massage and had the therapist rub castor oil into the area. it healed so fast it was amazing. after my latest stripper blooper where i felt really beat up i 've been using the oil again and most of my soreness is going away.

hmm, that is neat, I have never heard of using castor oil on it. I wil have to try that. I havew a sore calf anyway. lol.
Do you know exactly when it happened? Have you been doing anything differently in your exercise routine that has impact. Females are really prone to stress fractures in there hips that will feel exactly like a pulled muscle. I had a stress fracture in my hip and pelvis from running to much. If you can not pin point when it happened, chances are it isnt a pulled muscle but maybe a stress fracture.

Yes those muscles would require, rest. I would suggest Tylenol and a warm bath, just as the poster above said. Within 2 days is should die down, but if it exceeds a week, talk to your doc.
