I saw a neurologist yesterday (finally).
It's official.
I'm an epileptic.
They put me on Keppra XR.
It's nice to finally have a definitive diagnosis and a plan of treatment.![]()

Take care of yourself.

^^^ That is fucked up and insensitive, HB.
Glad you have some resolution and a diagnosis, Sirona.
Does he know that sometimes shit like that can cause a seizure also.

I thought Sirona would appreciate the humour, based on a reading of the previous threads about her situation. But I've missed the mark before, and if a reasonable person such as yourself is offended Susan, I'd sooner delete it, than defend it.

Sounds like you've got a diagnosis and a plan, that in itself can be really reassuring sometimes. Very cool that you're dealing with it in a proactive way, and appear optimistic about the whole thing. Sometimes it just feels better when you know what's going on and what you can do about it. Good for you![]()
I seem to have missed what HB said/did.
I'm assuming it was flashing light type bullshit?
Meh, whatever.
My seizures aren't light triggered anyhow.
Thanks for the well wishes everyone.
I'm not too worried about it one way or the other.
It is what it is.![]()
Good luck. My father had grand mals.
What you have done is very good.
In your first thread, I already told you about my wife's experience of having a seizure, being diagnosed, having medication prescribed, and eventually weaning herself off the medication and leading a normal, seizure free life.
I am sure that you will be fine, too.
