Default Just moved to Portland...which clubs?

So I just moved to Portland, and I'm working at Exotica International now, which hasn't been too hot the last week. People have recommended Mary's, Union Jacks and Stars to me, does anyone know anything about those clubs, or about any other clubs to possibly work at?

Sassy's, The Dolphin and the Dolphin II are pretty good. Stay away from Tommys. I had fun in Portland while I was there.

It has been a bit slow everywhere, hopefully it will pick up after the election this weekend. If exotica does not pick up your best bet is probably the Dolphin clubs

exotica is one of the few clubs in portland where you might find black dancers working. portland is pretty segregated, and additionally the vast majority of strip clubs there have only a few dancers on at a time. it is one of those towns that is friendly to 'hot asian chicks' in stripclubs, but not so much black dancers. and that reflects the town itself in many ways.

I used to dance in at Union Jack's. It had a fun atmosphere, nice customers, mostly rockabilly and alternative types. The girls are fantastic, all shapes, sizes and looks, and they're all really friendly. Depending on your availability, it can be difficult to get scheduled, and I've heard the dressing room is crowded lately, but I know it's worth it on a Friday or Saturday night. Day shift was kinda lousy, though, with the exception of the awesome ladies (and bartenders) who worked it, it was usually slow. The club is pretty, and well known for it's rock/alternative girls and music. Most of the girls are tattooed hotties, some are Suicide Girls, and they've all got very distinct styles. There's a phenomenal makeup artist who comes in often and will do an incredible job with your makeup for a pretty minimal charge, which is a nice touch. You have relatively free reign on music, and they're able to get songs pretty quickly if they don't already have them. Self expression is definitely encouraged. Stage fee was a little high, you definitely feel it on a slow night. But like I said, Friday and Saturdays were usually pretty good. So...hope that helps.

at least a couple girls here on SW were doing VERY well at exotica (close to 1k a shift, in portland where 100 a shift is typical earnings).

the first night i worked at exotica i made 700 bucks, on a friday, then after that i had a couple $400 shifts, and now i can make no money there. most of the girls there are mixed or black, i was one of the few white girls, it's a nice (looking) club, but this last week there was horrible. I worked tonight and made no money. I'm getting worried because i was making more money in michigan, whose economy is MUCH worse off. i plan on auditioning at Union Jacks tomorrow night, i hope it goes ok. then when my get my car in town, i think i'm going to check out the dophin clubs.

is 100 really the norm for a night shift in portland?!???!!???

I did not like working at Union Jack's. This guy hit me at the bar and they refused to kick him out. The girls told me to get over it. Then I could not leave until I paid stage fee. Boo.

try the viewpoint it is a large club no house fee just pay for your dances which is anywhere from $5 to $25 per dance(but dances start at $25 bucks). some of the bartenders suck but the dj's, security, and managment are all cool. Every one is welcome to come and at least check it out. i am not going to lie to anyone we are slow but if you can hustle you can make good money.

I worked all over Portland. It was my favorite city I ever worked in. My favorites were Union Jacks, Acrop, Marys, Devils Point and DV8. I had fun, and since there is no licensing your kind of free to roam around from club to club. The only downfall, there are SOOO many clubs there, that the customers are all really spread out and I found it hard to make alot of money. BUT it was so much fun, I honestly didnt mind a pay cut for all the good times that were added just by being there. Sigh. Portland was a great experience. I really wish I could move back.

p.s. Union Jacks is the best club of all time! I made a killing there. The most money I made in Portland was at that club, and it was fun as hell.

Union Jacks is soooo slow right now. However normally its the best money I make and the managment is really nice. The girls are nice and scheduling is good . Right now I would try for a smaller club downtown like the magic gardens or marys if you want to make money.
    Bottom line...
    Its slow everywhere!

SO many choices in Portland! God I miss that town! =)

ALmost 9 years there my rec's are

Mary's, Acrop, Sassy's, Devil's Point, Club 205, The Dancin Bare if you need an extra shift, and Lucky Devil Lounge. All those places have a steady clientele and great girls to work with!

I worked at Mary's for over 6 months and got less than 5 night shifts. If you want to work some day shifts it's an ok club, but I wouldn't reccomend holding out for good shifts.

I worked there for a year and a half. Had Sunday night (finally), but got fired over something utterly ridiculous. Place isn't worth it. Totally overrated.

Mary's is amazing. I worked there for years and had usually 3 shifts a week. The thing is girls don't leave there, so it is hard to get shifts, since tops they let 3 girls on at a time. But it's an amazing club with awesome people.

Wow I soooo love my shifts at marys, and I dont have any problems with scheduling. Its a good business and totally diffrent than the other clubs I've worked at. I really enjoy it.

Hey I've never actually worked in PDX but if I did I would work at: The Dolphin, Stars, and the Acropolis. I've been to other clubs and these three seemed the busiest, great atmosphere and girls were making money.

I went to the Viewpoint and asked about working there and the DJ was really rude to me as the Dolphin hired me on the spot. I decided against working in Portland. Not enough money for me to travel for.

I probably wouldn't work at Sassy's but I really liked it there.

Just my opinion. I loved my shifts there too. If i were still there I am sure I would be singing it's praises right along with ya. I used to be one of the clubs biggest fans. I was a great earner, reliable as hell (and we all know at Mary's you HAVE to be), and did not cause drama. I just learned that I wasn't special or part of a "family" the way I thought I was. It hurt my feelings. Tremendously. Now, I don't even work in PDX because the money is such shit. Mary's is definately one of the few places left in town to make a decent living as a stripper, but they have their own set of politics just as any club does.

I'm glad you are doing well there. Didn't mean to sound like a bitch calling it overrated. I just feel as though girls treat that club like it's the PDX stripper holy grail and I have to wince a lil cause I can't join in.
