......for a brown (as in non traditional) president
? Rhetorical.

I'm ready for a President of ANY color if he is intelligent, anti-war,cares about individuals not just big business and big money,etc,etc,etc...OBAMA is our first chance in a long long time to that I believe can restore the American dream for EVERYONE! It is so encouraging to see such a great voter turn out today. To me this says that people are eager for someone who isn't a Washington insider who only cares about upholding the status quo or the Robin Hood in reverse philosophy-steal from the poor to feed the rich!!! Hopefully we will have something to celebrate once the votes are counted!!! Cheers!!! Harlow PS I've raised a lot of money for the Demos the past 5 years!!!
I am for Obama... I really hope when he is elected he will successfully make the changes he is promising.

Hope he keeps his promises,as well.
Other than the issues, he's kinda sexy when he smiles. Never thought I'd bring the president into my bedroom secrets! lol ( I havent yet, lol)
Anyways...I am excited to see if he won!!
"brown" ?? i don't get it

He did it! Amen.

Hell yes!! He won!
That was a great speech.

INCREDIBLE SPEECH! My favorite was mentioning gay, straight, native american etc & the 106 y.o. woman who voted. I wonder what change will happen in the next century.

Once again I have embraced my addiction and have put off the moral dilemma to another day.

Usually, when you see technical journalism (i.e. newspaper, academic journals, etc.), when someone references somebody (like Jenna Jameson may reference "I love him [son's name]." Do you understand what I am saying... I am not saying "Praise Barack Obama [God]." I am saying, "Praise him... [God]". Like, "him" ---> God... Please note the parentheses as citation. Ya know, College English 101.
Sorry, I'm what you might call "highly educated." Go Gators, Go 'Canes...
He's half black. I dislike that we still have this slavery era mindset that if you have a drop of black blood in you, you're black. He's in touch with every aspect of both "cultures". He's neither black nor white. He's the bridge between the races.
And he's a Democrat. Rocking.
Thank you VS. Those were my thoughts throughout the night. As an outsider watching the coverage of the election, I was dumbfounded by the racial breakdown provided for each state as ballots were counted. I don't want to diminish the impact race has played in American history but at what point will people on both sides of the fence move on?
The United States of America has history of deep rooted and ugly racial strife... I feel that the only way that this issue will be executed is through reparations... Other races have received reparations for the hardships that they have experienced... African Americans will not feel compensated until reparations are received...
he's black. he has been treated black his whole life. yes he is half white, doesn't matter, its how you were treated. it's hard for some people to understand, unless ur black urself, u won't understand completely.
Every country has a history of deep rooted and ugly racial strife.
Don't get me wrong Honey71783. Personally, I'm happy that Obama was elected but because I felt he was best suited for the job. IMO, that should be the primary reason to vote for a candidate. I just don't follow the logic of voting for someone just because he or she may be the same race as I (FYI, I'm a minority myself).
I understand the position you and many others have toward reparations and the like. At the same time, I'm of the mind that one cannot justly demand to be viewed as an equal when they are consistently trying to segregate themselves. I dunno... I guess it's a classic case of the chicken and egg...
