Default Dancers who are moms making less?

I was trying to determine a common thread between me and the other top earners at my current club, because we all have pretty different looks and personalities, then I realized the only girls that i work with who make good money on a regular basis are the ones like me, who don't have kids.

Is this normal, or have you noticed this too? I am making a poll with my post too.

I don't think kids have anything to do with it in my opinion, You would never even know I had a baby if you saw me. I think its a hustle & look strategy.

I've known plenty of top earners who were also moms. I don't think there is a connection.

I have 3 kids and have a better body and flatter stomach than most of the dancers in my club.
I have noticed in all the non-dancing jobs I've had that "mum's" more reliable and organised than non-mums. I guess non-mums may have a more care free lifestyle- don't have to worry about rent/mortgages as much (cos they can bum on a couch if they need to) and they don't have to rely on babysitters etc. but as far as hustling goes I think parenthood makes no difference.

I think it depends on the motivation of the individual.

Personally, I make much more now than I did pre-baby...

girls who are not mommys still have bills to worry about! who wants to crash on a couch? lol.

I'm not sure if there is a connection between mommy-hood and big money... I wonder. At my club, there are a few girls whose pregnancies did take a bit of a toll on their body... but I've seen girls who are still sooooo hot after kids. I guess it all comes down to being hot.

LOL send those guys my way! I don't tell customers about my personal life. Every so often I slip up and say yes when asked. But I tell them misinformation- age, gender, i.e.

One time a NFL player I mentioned my 'phantom son' to told me "Don't worry, I'll be his daddy. I like kids."

I'm thinking WTF? He just *assumed* dad wasn't in the picture.

From a basic biological standpoint mothers should make more.
We're proven to be fertile and hence are more attractive to men.

Myself I have three kids and make more than the non-moms on many occasions.

i think there's an equal amount of mom top-earners and non-mom top-earners at my club. i just mentally pictured the girls who usually do well and it's about even.

I've also noticed this. I notice that the more in need a girl is for money, the less she makes. I don't mean to make out moms as "desperate" but they certainly need money more than me!!!

I've also noticed this in myself. When I *need* money, it doesn't come easy. The days I go in just to make some extra fun cash, I bank!

Actually, I disagree. From a biological standpoint, a fertile woman without children is more desirable because she is in a better position to devote 100% of her resources into a child. A man wants a woman who can devote all her time/resources to his child alone and not to the children of other men too. Women with children are almost universally less attractive to men as the children are considered baggage. Also, this is reflected in the physical body - stretch marks, weight gain, less firm breasts, ect.

I'm not saying this to be rude or anything. There are lots of hot mommas at my club! I'm just saying that from a biological standpoint, a fertile woman with children is less appealing than a fertile woman with no children.

At my club, it's a mixed bag. I think it has more to do with motivation and hustling skills than whether or not they have children. VERY rarely does the fact I have a kid come up in conversation with a customer, so it has never affected my money. I'd say I make about the same if not more than I did before I had a baby.

I and another girl were top earners for a while...and we both have kids, and didnt look it. Just depends on looks and hustle I think.

If we're speaking pure biology, unless a woman has children she isn't provento be fertile. Hence from a primitive evolutionary standpoint, a woman who has already reproduced is more attractive as a mate. The primitive male would attempt to impregnate as many females as possible in an attempt to make sure his genetic material was carried forth to future generations. They didn't always stick around (monogamous relationships aren't always natural as we all know) and women would raise any children they had regardless of who the fathers were.

Stretch marks etc are asthetics and a different matter.
The funny thing about that is in more primative cultures, stretch marks, pot bellies and pendulous breasts make a woman MORE attractive. It is only in more "modern" cultures that the opposite is true.

I'm not talking about any sort of concious choices here and i'm speaking in a very base animal reaction type way.

Much in the same way a woman who is ovulating will be noticed by men far more than one who's not.

Oh and i'm not claiming in any way that moms make more, I was just playing devils advocate.

Although I don't have kids yet, top earners IMO vary and whether or not they have kids has little to do with it. I think it depends on the focus of the individual. There have been days that I go in scatter-brained and lethargic, this trend can affect the best of us. I wish I could blame that on motherhood, but it's just plain old me being LAZY...

Actually, Naomi Wolf, who wrote "The Beauty Myth" wrote that a woman who exhibits all the signs of fertility (small waist, firm breasts, healthy hair, clear skin) and none of the signs of child bearing (stretch marks, extra stomach skin, sagging breasts, etc) is the physically most attractive to men. Human men are wired to want to be the father of all of a woman's children, because it requires a lifetime commitment to ensure your children live to have their own children. Unlike lions and other mammals, our males do not kill the children of other males so he doesn't have to care for someone else's gene pool. Men are not biologically wired to want to reproduce with women who are already mothers. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, it just is what it is. Of course people make exceptions because we're civilized, but at their base level, men want young fertile things that no one else has touched.

Honestly, I don't think having children have anything to do with it. Men automatically pick up whether a woman is fertile or not, which is why women on birth control (in general, not as an ironclad rule of course) tend to make less than women who aren't on the pill. (http://www.psychologytoday.com/artic...=pto-4435.html for the entire study) When you are ovulating men can pick it up. As far as appearance goes men like women who are symmetrical, have flat bellies ("proving"- although we all know this is not the case- that she has not had children before, which can be an attractive attribute for many men) full lips and smooth clear skin (which is a sign of youth).

I don't think it really matters if one has had a kid or not. It's more or less based on looks, personality, and hustle. Now if I were to go back into stripping, right now I would make less bc I am not a size 4 anymore and my stomach still has that frowny belly button thing going on. But I started a diet a week ago and started tracking calories in my food and calories burned yesterday. I am hoping to go back down to that size 4 by March.

And because Naomi Wolf wrote it it's true? Because she's gotten some facts wrong before. Like that fashion magazines make girls ana which was proven wrong. Just FYI.
