Default UK Home Secretary conflates lapdancing with prostitution

Although to be fair, the journalist seems the one unable to make a distinction as evidenced in the opening paragraph:

The Home Secretary has attacked the 'bizarre' practice of City firms entertaining clients in lapdancing clubs, on the eve of a government crackdown on the sex trade which is expected to criminalise most men who use prostitutes.

As far as I can see a " crack down " on the adult industry in general is on the way, partly because Labour are unpopular and need something they think will get votes and partly because brain dead feminists like Jacqui Smith and Harridan Harperson find anything to do with men and sex abhorent.

I suspect as usual the legislation will be complex and useless and about as effective as gun control.

Well according to today's reports enquiries regarding lapdancing clubs were up 469% so maybe it's time to make hay whilst the sun shines...

The article itself was kinda interesting - but the constant cxn between lapdancing clubs and prostitution grated with me, especially where one stripper is quoted to have said that there is 'no pressure to have sex with men, only opportunities'.. wtf..

But that aside - I'm not sure how they make the link between a crackdown on coercion into the sex trade and the future closing of stripclubs. I don't think it could even have an affect on the number of 'extras' girls in clubs because, as it outlines, it's (in theory) only affecting those who coerce women into the sex trade, rather than those who do it by choice.
Moments like this make me want to hug the Internet and say "thank you." Lestat
