Probably not a good idea hun.
It takes 46 muscles to frown but only 4 to flip 'em the bird

You could say you waitressed and get a coworker to back you up as a reference ( a real cocktail waitress, manager etc) but I'd only do this is if youre sure you wont look like a completely inexperienced waitress.

i had the same problem recently, i opted to put waitress/hostess in the 3 spots over the last 6 years where i had danced. i don't mind people knowing what i do but i would rather be judged for it once they know me - not for the 'title' i put on paper. i am going to get my current club manager to say that i am a waitress if they do call him as a reference., that way its still semi legit, but not all managers would do that i guess.
as a stripper you have a lot of customer service and are essentially doing a waitresses/hostess job but just selling a different product. people don't realise the customer service skills though and just think 'NAKED' unfortunately.
here is a great thread that helped me: http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...ghlight=resume
good luck x

I'd say don't unless you are going to work at a SC. If you decide the people seem really cool you might choose to bring it up in an interview.
I hostess at a golf and country club, bringing it up would definitely NOT have been a good idea lol. It's not hard to get into though. If you have a difficult time, try to get a job as a busser in a restaurant they'll take pretty much anybody. Then you can move onto being a hostess, waitress, bartender, whatever. Good luck!
no way...make something up, server jobs have a high turnover rate...they hardly ever check anyway

I wish we could put exotic dancer on a resume. We have excellent customer and sales skills. We're great at manipulating, playing the shrink and generally we're the queens of BS. Now how are those not great qualities? lol
I have never had any good experiences with strangers finding out I was a stripper. Hell no don't put it on a resume. Everyone will talk, be in your business, say fucked up passive aggressive things that will take you days to even realize were shitty. NO!

considering that the restaurant industry involves a lot more substance abuse and sluttiness than ours does, you'd think they'd welcome us as professional.
but no. life is not like this.

talk to your old boss t the SC you worked.
I always get the owner's wife from my old club to write my references, they also own property company and will write me fake references saying i've done jobs i haven't.
I was top earner at their club and earnt them enough money so i deserve it x
HELL NO! Put student or homemaker or something else that shows little to no work experience. Putting stripper on your resume is guaranteed to leave you unemployed.
Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!
