On October 29, 2008 Senator Christopher Dodd was interviewed on WELI; a local New Haven radio station. The only "local" show was one hosted by Tom Scott. The balance of their programming is provided by nationally syndicated conservative radio personalities.
Scott had repeatedly accused Dodd of mortgage fraud over his refinance from Countrywide in 2003 at below market interest. Scott repeatedly asked Dodd why he did not release his mortgage application and his HUD application. Dodd claimed the matter was "still being investigated" but Scott pointed out that it was only the Senate Ethics Committee and Dodd was perfectly free to release anything he wanted.
The interview NEVER aired and WELI never said why it didn't air. On November 12, 2008 it ended up on the internet and can be downloaded on a variety of sites. Despite Scott screaming "censorship" and "favoritism" for days, it was only reported in the press.... today. About two weeks after Election Day. Hmmmm. I'm sure it was just an amazing coincidence.
