    Default Job on Credit Report

I have not danced in a LONG time. When I applied for my apartment I lived in over a year ago. I had management send in a letter saying I made x amount a year. I stayed there about 4 months and worked very rarely. I hardly made enough to claim on taxes. My mom paid my rent & I also had a job. It now shows on my credit report I work at Christie's and still do. I have not worked there in over a year. I would like it removed do you think it will be possible. What is the chanced of it getting removed? What is the process? Will there be reprocusions with taxes. I claim under my parents it is important they do not know. I have not danced since and do not plan to. The amount management claimed I made was never even close to being made since I quite.

^^^ you would be opening Pandora's Box ... potentially drawing attention to both your own taxes / finances as well as to your parents' taxes (since your SS# appears on their tax return).

Keep this in mind. The IRS could very easily get their hands on the document from Christies that stated you earned X dollars per month. What kind of official documentation could you provide in your own defense to prove that you DIDN'T actually earn that much money ?

None that I can think of. Its is easy to see through my bank account and living that I have no extravagant amounts of money. I have not deposited any extra money in my account and my rent was all deposited by my mother along with all my bills she pays. That is why I want it off. It was a projected amount for a year. I did well a couple nights and decided not to stick with it. So what do I do?

If I went there could they provide me with prove I quite shortly after and have not been back? Would that be enough to them to remove it or perhaps just date it.

I'll try again ... what authoritative proof can you offer that you yourself did not make your rent and utility payments ?

I made utility payments but I had direct deposit from my job. The money she put into my account was a money transfer from her account. The down payment was a check from my grandparents.

The transfers where from her account to mine, just to clarify. As far as I know my mom can account for all money in her account from her job and pay stubs. The same is for mine. I deposit no cash in my account. When I make a deposit it is either direct deposit from work or from checks written from my parents. I have had jobs since I applied, but dancing was the only thing I did at that time. However a work schedule like that is to demanding with school. My mom knows about my short stint dancing, my dad does not.(She checks my credit). Also it says I was employed by Christie's. Which I know is technically not true. God I just do not want my parents to have to face future reprocussions or myself for something I have not done in over a year and for something that I hardly made over the claim limit.

The bills she pays are my credit cards which she pays directly from her account.

well with all of that documentation you and your mother could probably prove everything to the IRS. Of course, this means that your mother is undoubtedly going to find out why the IRS began asking questions in the first place.

She has already seen it on the credit report. Asked and I explained. I just want it off my credit report, is there a way to dispute employment or at least get it dated, so it no longer says I work there?

Thank you very much though. I just wanted to make sure I or my mother would not get into any type of trouble Especially with how much she is helping me while I am in school. Again thank you.
