Default 30 Day Shred and X Pole

I got my x pole in the mail yesterday and wow...I need more strength! I guess I forgot how much it takes to pole dance. I haven't danced since FEB of 2007. I am also doing 30 Day Shred. Not seeing much on the scale but I can already see more muscle and my belly getting a tad smaller. I can't wait to see how my body ends up! Hopefully I am not going to need a tummy tuck. And if I do, hopefully I only need a mini tummy tuck.

So I have a question..how do you take care of slippery pole? I know the humidity in the air doesn't help...ick. And also...I can't even climb my pole A. Slippery B. No strength. ick! Help..lol

Keep a cloth and rubbing alcohol handing when you're using the pole. Wipe the pole down if you feel it getting slippery. Also, when I'm teaching my classes I have rock climbing chalk for my students to use on their hands if they get too sweaty. Don't use too much of it though, one: you'll have to wipe the pole down often to ward off chalk build up on the pole, and two: you don't want to get to dependent on it, leaning to deal with a kinda slippery pole is nessecary in getting really good on the pole. You just need to build up your grip, but in the mean time, so you don't get overly frustrated, you can sparingly use the cheats I mentioned before.
I would not recommend the grip gels they sell though, that's really cheating and makes it harder to do the spins and slides that make pole graceful. And like I said before, you don't want to get use to having these products and not being able to do tricks without them. I know most club will not allow them on their poles because it coats them with a guck.

Thanks...I have never used anything to help with grip but the pole at my old club was def. grippy enough. It was brass and mine is Chrome.
