    Default recommend me a powder

so, i got the laura mercier "flawless face" kit from sephora a while ago. i'm going back for more tinted moisturizer.... but i'm not a fan of the powder that came with the kit (everything else is great). i feel like the powder sets the moisturizer fine, but also.. i don't know... dulls it out? washes me out?

i'd like a powder with a little more "glow" to it. i'm very light skinned, so by "glow" i don't mean -color-.... i just want something sheer and light (that i can wear over tinted moisturizer without it gooping) that will give me a fresh glowing look. i don't want a matte look and i don't want something SUPER shimmery either. somewhere in the middle is best. a little natural looking shimmer is great... i just don't want to look all sparkle-plastic-fairy-ish

    does that make sense?

so to summarize: light-weight, fresh/glowing, sets without dulling.
    also, i have sensitive skin.

    HALP!

I was going to mention the same thing retiredangel did. I had a powder by Prescriptives in the past that actually felt *wet* when you brushed it on at first. It was super sheer and had an opalescent, glowy quality to it. I loooooooved it.
Edit: it's the exact same powder retiredangel linked to. It's fabulous! Definitely try it.

    prescriptives is nice-thirded.

although i had an allergic reaction to one of their liquid foundations once (i also have very fair, super sensitive skin), every other product i've used of theirs i loved.

I'm really fair too and I like Paula Dorf powder...maybe a leetle more on the matte side than you were looking for but it goes on really light. You can get it at Sephora.

why the christ did i not put this is body biz? i wasn't even drinking.

uhg. i didn't even notice till today.

also, i have to go up to a make-up counter at dillards or nordstrom to get that right? i have a secret phobia of those sales people. sephora is bad enough, but i power through.

    maybe i will brave it.

The Perscriptives liquid powder is very nice, but I would go to the store to match the color to your skin first, and see if the texture is something you like. I would also by the brush for the powder, as some brushes do not apply it as smoothly
Some locations will even custom blend the ingredients to get the right color for your skin tone. Not the liquid powder, but they have the basic pressed/loose.
also- Shiseido The Makeup Enriched Loose Powder is nice.

I like MAC'S Mineralize Skin Finish Natural... The dual one is good too, as it comes w/ a highlighter. It adds a nice natural sheen/glow to the face.
