Default Want to work as a dancer, but...

I don't know if this more properly belongs in the "Body Business" board, but I want to work as a dancer but have cellulite on my butt/thighs I do exercise lots but it's rather stubborn. Do you think I would be able to work as a dancer anyway? I'm 5'3" and 115 lbs so it's not like I'm overweight or anything. Opinions would be appreciated, thanks

Trust me, cellulite is nothing to worry about. Almost every woman has it. I've seen every sort of stretch mark, cellulite, scar and jailhouse tattoo imaginable in the dressing room's harsh lights. Strippers are NOT always paragons of physical perfection!

Do a search, baby girl. There are loooots of threads about this.

You should go watch the dancers at the club you want to work at. I am sure that a lot of them have some cellulite, a lot of them have some stretch marks, and other stuff. You'll be fine. The club lights are very forgiving.

Do it, you'll be fine! Everyone has that going on but in the club lights, everyone looks automatically fitter. I'm always self-conscious about my butt so I wear lil booty shorts etc instead of a g-string on the floor. Guys love it and so do I

85% of women over 18 have cellulite. Trust me, it is not a big deal at all. The clubs are usually so dark most of the time that you can't even see cellulite.

No woman is perfect,I hate it when women put them selves down because they don't look like photo shopped porn stars.

Are those stickies in the newbies forum gone or something? This is the 684684687th thread of if I'm too ugly/cellulity/whatever ..

I have seen fat ugly girls make money. True story. Big giant gross looking ugly girls. It's a confidence game. If you're concerned about cellulite on your thighs, make it go away (via exercise, diet, surgery) or just pretend it's not there. Blacklights hide so much, you have no idea.

Oh & another thing...guys don't pay attention to those details nearly as much as we think they do. They see a vagina & boobs in their face & they're happy.

Guess what, I'm only 100 lbs and 23 yrs old and bamm. Noticed since I was about 19 that Ive got that shit on the backs of my legs. Guys never seems to notice, and I've even asked honest friends/relatives if they see it. I point. See that? "You're imagining things" they always say." And they are being honest.

lol a lot of times we see things that takes a magnifying glass for others to see. Plus, cellulite should be the least of your worries because it is so common. I'm not even worried about mine because I've got a lot serious issues (i.e. bad surgery scars from head to toe, etc.). Be glad you don't have those and don't even worry!

Another thing to keep in mind is that cellulite affects a higher percentage of thin women, as opposed to average or curvy/thick. This is solely because cellulite is the rippling of a specific kind fat cell under your skin, larger women have more buffer zone between their skin and cellulite cells, so it is mediated; while skinny girls go from cellulite cells to skin in such rapid transition that it can be very noticeable. I noticed my first cellulite at 18, at the time I was only 105 pounds for my 5'9" frame, which is very thin. I find the cellulite on my thighs is less noticeable now that I weigh 118.
And P.S. I didn't believe that the club lights were as flattering as everyone claimed. But seriously, its fucking true. Guys wont notice a goddamned thing. Go get em!

If you have even an ounce of cellulite on your body, you can't even step foot in a strip club. Much less work in one. Pft...come on. We're all like supermodels...except better paid. Not just anyone can become A Stripper.

Lol, you shouldn't joke like that, especially on her post. Some people may take it literally, especially when they are kinda down and are seeking advice.

I've never met a pretty stripper (in real life) except my aunt, and she's fat, got cellulite, etc. And 80% of the ppl on this board are not that attractive (or at least not photogenic), just normal or below normal. But there are some beauties as well.

Sorry...you're probably right. But after the whole "is 4'11" too short to strip?" thread, this was just too obvious an answer to pass up.

We all have our insecurities and imperfections. Most women, assuming they know how to play up their assets and don't have some horrendous imperfection, can strip and strip very successfully.

Hotrod--I would disagree with you that 80% of people on the board aren't that attractive. I'd say that probably only 5% of the people on this board are model-level attractive. However, probably 90% of us look DAMN good on the stage as strippers despite being non-photogenic. Cuz personally, I hate every picture I take of myself and can't get my body to look right in a picture to save my life, but I bank at my job, and I know I'm very proportional, etc.

To redeem myself by not sounding like a sarcastic cunt: I can assure you, OP, that unless you have cellulite covering every inch of your body, or unless you're auditioning for the most prestigious strip club in the world (oxymoron?), you will be FINE with whatever cellulite you have.

One of the biggest earners at my club has a hell of a lot of it. And even the thinnest girls in my club, in certain lighting, clearly have some cellulite too. Guys apparently just don't notice it or think that everyone has it (which makes it expected and normal in their eyes)

However, strip club lighting is generally geared towards making its strippers look GOOD. So if you're looking at your ass in the bathroom mirror and think that you look bad, keep in mind that strip clubs tend to be very dark. Guys will see your curves, not your cellulite.
