Angry The Thanksgiving madness has already started.

So, I go to the grocery store tonight to pick up a few things for some pies we are making for Thanksgiving. Thinking I was so smart to go today...all ahead of the game and shit....yeah right!! What a fool I am.....Safeway was fucking CHAOTIC. I couldn't even get a parking spot within a reasonable distance from the store....there were NO SHOPPING CARTS LEFT. I had to actually stand and wait for one. Here I was thinking, oh well, it's Monday so it won't be bad yet. HAHAHA!

At one point I ducked into the frozen foods isle to have a breather. I had to actually stop and put my brain back together. A clerk came up and asked me if I was finding everything o.k., and I said "Actually no, could you direct me to the aisle where the Xanax is??" We had a good laugh over that.

If anyone is planning on doing any shopping good luck!! And see about possibly swinging by the bar for a few beforehand. Trust me.

I went to the store last night and had the same problem. Although- there were shopping carts- it was madness.

Do you have Wal-marts where you are from? I heard a rumor that NYC had banned them. Can't say that I think that this is a bad idea, especially when I try to go grocery shopping. On a normal day I'm going to have to "excuse myself" a dozen times and try to squeeze past some inconsiderate group of people who decided to stop in the middle of the aisle to chat. And living in the South is worse because of all the racial tension. If you are not the same color as the people you are trying to get past, then good god, the dangers!

And then the average line is 20 minutes. And God forbide anyone in front of you is paying with a check or has an item that isn't priced. Now you're waiting 30-40 mins.

If they weren't so much cheaper than the competition, I would start shopping at Albertsons.
