Default Bootlegging in the New millenium

My ex bf anyways is a cheapass and a pirating/bootleg fanatic. Sometimes it has saved me a lot of $$$. Other times we have gotten so/so to shitty copies. I found isohunt to be the best and safest. What has been everyone's experience with pirating? Is it too much trouble? Or is it the greatest thing since the wheel?

A lot of women on this forum complain about similar scenarios. Make him pay for it himself, and don't let him use your accounts.

In case you didn't know, the movie companies place movies on these file sharing networks, but they don't play too well, not to mention the bugs they put in them.

Ohhh, as for pirating, I still prefer to drive to my local music shop and buy the hard cd.

as far as movies... we have a "movie man" lol. He always has the latest movies(movies that are still in the theater)... the quality varies. but its always watchable. I love it.

as far as music... I download and burn cds to listen to in the car not because I'm too cheap to buy cds but because theres alot of music/mixtapes that cant b bought at ur local fye.. I like making mixes to listen to while i drive.

I support my local bootleg man. He's like a traveling Wal-Mart.

I remember being a kid, and my mom coming home with all these bootleg DVDs and tapes...and purses...and watches...and clothes...and PlayStations...

I like to burn my own CDs, but the Jamaican restaurant down the street sells bootleg mixtapes of the hottest R&B, rap, and reggae, so, you know, I'll buy off them, too.

We have like three or four "movie men" in my area. I'm the designated music man whenever i get in the mood to be bothered by the constant requests

I don't buy movies anymore since it'll be on cable soon and I'm a cheapass. For pornos, I have a $5 guy and they r great quality and if one is messed up, I can always take em back and get a new one.

I would like a software guy though, I need a great version of Rosetta Stone for any damn language.

My sister brought me a copy of some movie called "Lakeview Terrace", I think it had Samuel S. Jackson in it....anyway, funniest thing I've ever seen. It was shot by someone sitting in the movie theater with a camera! You could hear people coughing, cell phones going off, and halfway through a chair popped up and blocked half the screen....the guy filming must have fallen asleep. So horrible, but so funny at the same time.

If you're gonna be a pirate, at least be a good one! Yarrrrrrrrrrrr

I remember a copy of the Mummy 3 I got was near perfect... except for one thing... the parts in Chinese were accompanied by Russian subtitles! The only word I recognized was O'connell lol.

I dont have any intellectual property at risk but to me bootlegging is stealing.

With all due respect to the OP, imagine another dancer coming into your club who looks a lot like you and decides to dance under your name or a similar one and (considering most guys are not that observant especially when drinking or horny) makes money off of your previous work. The groundwork you laid for future business is yours and should not be stolen.

I get all my porn, music, movies, and software off the net. If it's a really good movie and i can't download a screener copy i'll watch it again when it comes out on cable. The most i've spent on all those things combined in the last 7-8 yrs has been like maybe $10

I sometimes get my music from downloading for studying (not peer-to-peer--buggy, dangerous). I don't sell at all, but occasionally I'll make a copy for a friend in music, also for demo (to buy the chart) or for study. Many musicians copy the styles of others as a learning thing and to improve their concept. The copy can be from digital or from a cassette or an LP (in process of ripping my best old LPs too). I won't copy anything that is not original (from the performer) or not commercial unless it is just not available otherwise. Sometimes I take donations for my direct expenses, a dollar or two. I do have some limits .
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

I was approached by a guy that came in to a shoe store thile I was shopping in the city. He must have had 1000 copies. I ended up buying 20 movies for $35.00 from the guy this summer and gifted them to my sister. She was so happy, even with a few that had minor flaws...
