    Default Piercings/tattoos

I have a lot of piercings (3 right ear, 1 left ear guage, nose, lip, monroe, nipples, belly button) I actually just took out my eyebrow piercings because it was getting a little excessive. I guess my look would be considered "alternative". My hair is generally streaked with some crazy color like bright purple or blue or pink. I was just wondering if I would be able to work this look as a dancer. I love the way I look/dress but I don't think the club owners/custies will like it. Also, I'm Indian, and I've never seen a rocker indian dancer. I could totally play up my Indian look, I have really dark eyes and exotic features, I've just always had more fun looking like a punk rock princess. Opinions?

One of the top earners in my club has a full sleeve, tatts on her neck, thigh, calves and both feet, and she's insanely popular because of that. Another big earner has a Marilyn, 4 in her ears, labret, tongue, belly button, 3 skin piercings on her lower stomach, both nipples and clit, and she pulls in big money too. We also have a girl with bright pink hair and every single man remembers her and comes back for dances because she stands out so much.

Men love the alternative look, because they see it as a bit naughty, wild and rebelleous, and it's a turn on because it's such a novelty for them. Not to mention it makes you easier to remember, and thus more likely to get regular custy's.

Just beware though, every single man will ask "how much did that hurt?" and try and touch your tatts so much you'll get sick of it lol.
Yes, I do love the cock, but I'm sorry to say it's only your wallet I'm interested in tonight dear

I have a full sleeve, two half legs and multiple random tattoos, my ears are gauged, I have two dermals on my collarbone, snake bites, and my hair is platinum blonde and blue. I usually bank BECAUSE of it. The older men like me because I'm young and a 'badass', the younger men like me because I have 'style'. (Straight from their mouths.)

You'll be fine. Just rock your look. I like to wear lots of bright colors so I stand out even more. Confidence is more important than what you look like, anyway, and most dancers will tell you so.

Yup. I have an enormous leg piece, and several smaller tattoos. Used to have piercings but took them out when I was 21. If anything, it's an icebreaker and segway into conversation. Many, many men come up to my stage with dollars asking to see my leg piece! Then you dont have to think up any witty conversation. ;-)

Rock it and be yourself. You will do fantastic on the confidence alone.

I believe that to be successful in this industry you must be unique....
have something that stands out, because we are all individuals
how you present yourself on stage is your own creation... it deserves respect.
So I say go for it and there are always clubs around that have a wide range of looks and girls. Goodluck

Well, I wouldn't say all of them. There are just as many that don't care for it as there are that love it. I mean definitely take the advice of everyone else on here and rock your shit, but don't be shocked when not everyone is crazy about your look. I have the same thing going on (minus the piercings) and there are a ton of guys that really dig it and a ton that don't. Be who you are, cause it doesn't matter tattoos and piercings or not, if you are comfortable with yourself, you're gonna make money.

Oh yeah...like cadence said get ready for the "did it hurt" about the piercings all the damned time, or questions about the tattoos like "why did you get that" or "what's the meaning behind it", and then get ready for the "oh, I wanna get this tattoo" speech and have to hear about all the ones they want to get but haven't yet (boooorrriiinnggg!)

So true! It's gets really annoying, but I've found that the guys who ask questions about your tattoos will usually be the ones to buy dances from you.

The only peircing I used to takeout of mine while dancing was my steptum(becuz it was a thick guaged bullring that was too hardcore for them), but i had it for years so it was no biggie to do that and sometimes I would forget and still, make my money--however the rest the customers generally responded with compilments even if that didn't normally like all the piercings and tats they thought it looked good on me or so they would say--not that I cared either way. My 3tongue rings was always a topic for conversation, but after shallowing about a dozen of those I gave wearing those all the time up(ofcourse not in the club unless I was having fun in the dressing room with the other girls that is).

Anyhow maybe some customers are turned off by the peircings and tats (i knew a few that vocied that opinion 2 me telling me I was too beautiful to have a skull and an axe and such on my skin), but whatever I have them becuz it makes me feel sexy to have them and that helps me make money--plus my girlfriends have always luv them so the real important opinions that count for me have always been pro body art.

On being Indian: that's a pretty rare dancer demographic, so milk it for all it's worth. You fall into the "exotic" and "Asian" categories!

Also, as others have already mentioned, body mods are not an issue unless they are unflattering (prison-style tats, etc).

I think you will be just fine.
try it out... and see how the customers respond to it. If you feel like the piercings are hurting your income, you can always take em out for work and put it back in afterward.

I was a top earner and I was considered the "goth" dancer. I have three tats and at the time I had 5 piercings. It just depends on the custies and the club.
