    Default Xmas gift/tip

First post, despite my screen name I am a customer. I see a girl regularly and have thought about giving her a extra tip for the holidays. I've thought about a gift card, but pretty much decided on a simple extra tip. I typically spend 100-150 a visit on her so I figured about 50-75 extra for a tip. Thoughts/comments??? thx

That's very thoughtful of you. I'm sure she would appreciate the extra cash.

Oh stfu she'll appreciate it. The more the merrier of course though

Generally money>gift, unless it's something you know it's something she's been desperately wanting and/or something really awesome like a car.

Best gift you can give a dancer, Offer to pay this month's car payment or something like that.

Depends on the nature and duration of your relationship with the dancer.

If the relationship is short and fairly casual, I have no doubt cash will be very acceptable.

If you've got to know her better over a period of time then maybe a gift that shows you've put some thought into it might go down better. She might like to know you value her as an individual, not just a dancer.

Simple rule - decide which of the two alternatives will put the bigger smile on her face and go for it.

Agreed. Money is always better, but if she was talking about a specific camera she wanted, that would be a great tip. OR, if she wanted a specific book, you could buy her the book, and have a $50+ cash tip inside it That would be slick.

Thanks for the feedback. I gave her 50 this weekend and I think it went pretty good. thx

And yes, she does deserve more like 500 but 50 was all I could do for now. Maybe when I hit the powerball I can do something like that........

50-75$ for a tip in cash wouldn't be remembered. I would get her a gift certificate. If it were 300-500+.. hand that in cash. But, if was like $50-200.. I would grab a gift certificate to her favorite store. Honestly girls get tipped an extra $50+ regularly through-out the year, just out of the blue. So, that is why Im suggesting the gift certificate. : )

Hey, at least he's thoughtfull enough to consider her during xmas! If he's a regular I'm sure she's aware of his typical financial restrictions (can buy 5 dances but not a room, can buy a room once a month but not once a week) and appreciates his effort to give something extra. I know my customers' budgets and always take note when they tip/spend more than usual, and make sure to register my appreciation in turn.

That's a good point. A GC would be more like a "present".

We all come from different income brackets, as a rule of thumb, keep your tip simple. A crisp new 100 gotten right from the bank will make an impression, make sure they give you new uncirculated freash bills to pass around while they are up on stage. I think its best to make it casual when handing out extra tips around Christmas, and for better judgement never tip odd numbers like 35 or 75.. Make it eather 50 or 100, 200 exc. Most dancers will remember your kindness, at least for a few months.

Depends on the situation and only you know her well enough. Some dancers don't need money, one dancer bought a brand new car in less than a year. 8 months if I remember right and others aren't so lucky. Just depends on the area mostly. One favorite dancer I had, she always gave me one free lap dance on my birthday and 2 free ones at Christmas time. I used to work at Scholastic and used to give her a few "Clifford The Big Red Dog" dolls for her kids and she wanted one for herself and gave her the biggest one as well as some books for her kids as well. Never had a dancer greeted me when I walked in like she did and we talked at the bar a bit before she gave me a dance. Was never no hurry. Sure missed her, she was a straight up sweetheart.
Anyway, only you know the girl, we don't. You also have a better idea how much she makes. Best thing to do is go with your gut instinct. Money is nice, but if you don't have a lot to give her, instead of money, try a Gift card for a clothing store or better yet, a GC for a mall. That is always nice and people like those.
