Avoid taking hot showers, which stimulates milk production. Wear your bras super tight. I also heard that putting cabbage leaves in your bra overnight dries up the milk more quickly...weird and gross but it supposedly works. Other than that, you will just have to let nature run it's course and it will dry up completely on it's own in a few weeks.

I've heard sage tea can make the process alot less painful.

I wouldn't worry about leaking all over customers though... I too, was a bit worried about negative feedback due to my leaky boobs--but as it turns out, people are actually willing to pay to be doused in milk.

erhm...sorry for going off on a tangent!

seriously, no one should be going back to work, least of all stripping, 3 weeks after giving birth.

    1) still bleeding
    2) still engorged
    3) not healed

you're endangering your health, and therefore the health of your baby.

drying up your milk should not be a decision you make lightly.

i understand that mommy has bills to pay, but 6 weeks is what is generally recommended as a recovery time.

there are dancers who have gone back but have continued to express milk to avoid the sprays.

milk doesn't just dry up overnight, and there is nothing you can do to guarantee it will be gone.

when you are 100% sure you want to dry it up, express small amounts for comfort when they are sore, wear a well-fitting bra and let nature take its course.

sage helped me. I went back to work just short of my second daughters first birthday.

I stopped breast feeding my daughter when she was about six months old, and she's almost a year now and my boobs STILL leak on occasion. Especially if I'm sexually aroused. It's annoying as hell but I'm afraid if I somehow get them to stop they'll loose what bit of body and lift they still have from the lactation. I hate having pancake boobs! So yeah, I don't know what to tell you other than I made WAY more money when I was fully lactating because it is a fetish for some guys and I would be tipped well to show them. It was really hard for me to hide it while I was breastfeeding so I just gave everyone a disclaimer or just explained to them while we are chatting and I'd say a good 90% of men weren't freaked out at all and were willing to spend more money to see what I was talking about lol.

However I agree with one of the other girls here- 3 weeks after birth is extreme. For you and the baby.

Try taking allergy meds, I dried up mid feeding with one of my kids, boy was he pissed off!

Cabbage leaves DO NOT dry up your milk, it helps with engorgement.

Wouldn't this be a lovely (and quite unexpected) surprise for those damned customers who try to suck on your nipples?
