    Default Micro-link Hair Extensions

Yes, I searched...and no one seemed to have much to say about these. I'm just wondering if by now anyone can tell me much about these extensions.
I got them done yesterday. When I left the stylist's chair, my hair looked great. But when I got home, I started to realize how freakin heavy all this hair is. 1.They feel tight and are pulling at my head. Is this normal? Will the tugging feeling go away?
I don't know what to do with all this HAIR! My own hair is only to my bra strap and now it's to above my waist. I think I'm going to have some of this length cut. It's just too much.
2.What can anyone tell me about after hair extensions? Also, It doesn't have the shape I want, bc he said if he cuts too much he doesn't want to cut my own hair since I need to grow it. 3.Isn't there any way to get soft, natural, looking layered hair with extensions? I hate that straight, all one length look on myself. It's feeling a little creepy knowing that a stranger's hair is hanging from my head...and it was probably some little ten year old girl who traded it for a goat.
I see so many girls out there with great looking hair. There has to be something I can do to make this hair look fabulous. Thank you!

I dont know much about them but I would say go to a good salon, its going to cost you, and have them cut them to look more natural and free flowing.Let me know how it goes i have been interested in these for a long time.
Haha about the ten yr old and the goat.

Ok, little update on my hair...had the extensions for 5 days...they loosened up and aren't tugging at my scalp. They are heavy though, as he gave me like 200+ strands. He would not cut it into the cut I wanted though and now will not return my calls, so I have two consults with other stylists about cutting it and blending it with my own hair. I'm finding that I do have to baby the hair by keeping it loosely braided when I sleep, and keeping it moisturized. I guess I like the fusion method, as I don't have anything to compare it to. So since you've been thinking about it, hope this helps. you can pm me if you want.

I <3 hair locs. I just took mine out (myself) after having them for 2 months. The fusion method is inferior compared to these. I will write more later! <3

Stick with the micro link extensions. I had fusion hair extensions and they ruined my hair. Now I am growing my hair out using the micro link extensions. Also, they are really easy to have a friend do your extensions (my brother does mine) and just add a few at a time as needed. Google "secret stylist hair extensions" to order.

    Just my two cents worth

After years of fusion (cinderella hair, pre-tipped keratin, and shrinkies method) I tried the silicone-lined microlink method this month.

I personally prefer the cylindrical fusion bonds over the flat metal microlinks. I've had them for two weeks and the edges of the microlink are starting to scratch my scalp. They also seem to get caught in my brush if/when I brush my hair too hard.

I never experienced much hair damage from wearing heat fusion style. I have very thick and healthy hair. I take them out every May so my hair is shoulder length for the hot summer, then I put them back in around October.

Someone with very fine hair or damaged hair is not an ideal candidate for heat fusion style extensions.

Luckily, I taught my husband how to do it, so whenever a few pieces fall out, I have the tools to put it right back in!

oh, and don't try to "grow your hair out" with extensions.

It just doesn't work. In fact, in order for the extensions to blend properly you have to have a jagged hair line, which is why so many girls have mushroom head They refuse to cut their own hair to blend.
