    Default S A D Light Therapy Visors

I just learned of these last night and am quite intrigued.
Does anyone have any experience with these?

I'm curious if they really work. I get very depressed during winter months in Michigan when all I see is gray and brown for months because there's no sun and all the trees are dead.

They seem rather expensive, I wonder if health insurance would cover them.

I have one of the special lamps at work, and one at home...desk lamps, not the visors. They are a part of my strategy for dealing with the winter blahs. I am also extra cognizant of my diet being well balanced, taking supplements, getting plenty of sleep, and regular aerobic excercise 2-3 times a week.

Other strategies: Tanning, taking vitamin D and omega 3 fatty acids, keeping a journal, meditation/staying in the moment.

I don't know if the lamps work or not, but I'm willing to try most anything if it might. I think SAD is pretty common.

^ I do everything he said. I haven't tried the visor. If you are on the computer a lot , setting the spectrum lamp right by you works pretty well. Is still don't feel like myself in the winter though. ;(
