If so, would you mind engaging in a discussion with me about something?
Over the weekend, I was verbally abused by a manager for NO reason at all. I have been at my club for almost a year, never caused any problems, I always fly under the radar and behave myself, do my job.....
This particular manager, well I've seen him around a few times but we've never spoke. He has a reputation for being extremely abrasive towards the girls, so I have just avoided him at all costs. I've heard him verbally abuse other girls the few times I have seen him.
Over the weekend, he approached me and blasted me about something COMPLETELY ridiculous, as if he was looking for a reason to have an interaction with me so he could have a chance to speak to me in a demeaning way. I almost feel like he was thinking "I haven't got to her yet.....I better go over there and make sure she knows who I am"
He controls with fear and brow-beating, I've heard him call girls "Sluts", "Whores" "Bitches" and "Cunts" I hate it but I've always tried to just put it out of my mind and stay out of his way. Even though I hate seeing other girls get treated like that....
WHY me? WHY anyone, for that matter? I mean, I do understand that girls can be annoying, break rules, be disrespectful, but even then, do they really deserve to be called a cunt and screamed at?
What's even scarier is that he seems to have some girls under a spell. I was quite visibly upset when I was getting ready to leave, and a girl said to me "Suck it up. If he sees you upset, he'll take you out back and beat you. Don't try to call the cops either." Then another girl chimed in "Yeah, and next time you seem him, you'd better be super sweet" WHAT.THE.FUCK. At this point I am kinda scared to go back to my club.
So if there are any managers or owners here that would like to give me their take on verbally abuse, please chime in......
