ha, a foolproof way to get that line - is to draw it on with bronzer - thats's what i do. i paint on definition with bronzer or self ranner - looks very realsitic on the floor
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

You have got to burn as much fat as possible off your tummy before any kind of abdominal exercise is gonna be worth doing. If you still have a layer of fat and don't burn it off, all crunches are gonna do is build the muscle underneath, and it's NOT going to show through. Even if you are thin as a rail, that doesn't mean that there's no layer of fat on your stomach. Most of the time with women, this is the case. The tummy is the hardest place to get fit.

You say you run alot, keep that up. Run as often and as much as you can. Keep yourself as upright as possible, so your back is long and lean, and your core is engaged. Do not allow yourself to lose form or slouch, be aware of your posture.
The elliptical (sp?) machine is great too. Twist and engage your stomach muscles when your are one it.
Pilates is also fantastic for the tummy, and better than anything for that area, especially for women (in my opinion)
Swimming is also good. When I used to live in Florida, I surfed and swam alot and always had that nice little line down the tummy.

Forget traditonal situps. All they ever did for me was expand my waistline in the wrong direction (horizontally instead of vertically!) That's why I love Pilates......the excercises are all core-focused and give a much better result than just doing boring, waste-of-time situps.

Here is an excerpt from an e-book we wrote called "175 ways to lose 7 lbs in 7 days" detailing how important strength training is to losing weight:

    In conjunction with your Cardio
Activity, you MUST add in some strength training. This
one thing is where many people who exercise go
wrong. They don’t realize that by strength training they
will build more muscle mass. Or maybe they do, but
they don’t comprehend that additional muscle mass in
itself will raise your BMR and you will actually burn
more calories while you are doing NOTHING! Strength
training is actually more beneficial then cardiovascular
training when it comes to losing weight because of the
dual effect of burning calories and building muscle.
Strength train at least 3 times a week.

It's a body fat thing- it depends on where your fat goes for your body type.

If you've inherited the right genes, then reduce your garbage intake (soda, alcohol, nonfish animal fat) and do aerobic activities that use your legs. (Swimming doesn't work. Thanks, mammallian diving response. Not.)

The muscles are already there, you just need to strip the layer of fat covering them. You can do crunches, Pilates, boxing, and blow dart ninja cake decoration until the end of time, and they won't show until its removed.

I have that line. But it starts to disappear when I do less cardio. Keep running.

The "line" is the center of your rectus abdominis or six pack.

The best way to emphasize your abs is to drop your body fat. Running is good. Make sure you eliminate all sugary foods from your diet, as sugars are stored as abdominal fat. For a quick fat burn I like to do high intensity interval training. It only takes about 15-20 minutes a day, but it is very, very effective.

When I combine diet and exercise I can uncover my six pack in abut 3 weeks.

oftentimes that line has to do with how your skeleton is built, too. i have it, but not from working out, it's just the way my ribcage is put together. i'm sure exercising helps too though.

incorporate yoga as well. This will help you work on posture and correct a lot of over posturing from dancing. Also it will teach you how to keep your core engaged during most parts of your day. Allowing your abdominal muscles to lenghten and straighten.
Keep up the cardio as well.

embrace the line indeed! its amazing and i think looks awesome!

i have started a very awesome training programme.

    for those that are interested

    diet:

    DAY 1-3:

10% calories from carb in the form of veg
30% calories from protein like chicken eggs turkey
60% calories from poly-mono unsaturated fats like oily fish, linseed, flaxseeds, shredded wheat!

so im basically having shreaded wheat for breakkie - a couple of boiled eggs during day, a breast of grilled chicken with salad for lunch, and a huge portion of salmon with mixed meditteranean veg for dinner - no sauces, no sugars, no sh*t at all

    then day 4

    10% calories from fats
    30% proteins
    60% good, brown, whole carbs

this eating plan is already on this forum somewhere - but i gotta say its making me feel so energetic and awesome!

on top of that in the morning im taking supplements:

    green tea
    vitamin c
    multi vit & iron
    vitamin E
    Omega 3,6&9
and also doing tonaling with the working out!

    workouts im doing:

    30-45 mins running

one day il do 45 steady paced distance running, then next day maybe 10 mins steady and 10 mins HIIT to push my system

all weight training is mainly core exercises to strengthen, bit pilates/yoga like. and then outs thighs, butt, shoulders and lats.

wow thats a looooong assed post!

im feeling lean already if you know what i mean and im on day 3!

when i achieve the line (please god) ill post a picture!
