Default If You Were A Millionaire, Would You Still Dance?

If suddenly tomorrow you were a millionaire, would you still dance? If yes, how often and why? If not, why not and what would you do?

if i were a millionaire, i'd open my own strip club and play by a different set of rules all together. low if any house fees, optional benefits (paid for monthly by employees but not overly expensive), and overall better treatment and more respect.

i'd dance one or two saturdays a month as a feature, write a book about my experiences, maybe make a documentary, and watch the money continue to pour in.
"If she wants to dance and drink all night, well there's no one that can stop her. She's going til the house lights come up or her stomach spills onto the floor. This night is gonna end when we're damn well ready for it to be over, worked all week long, and now the music is playing on our time. Yeah we do what we do to get by, and then we need a release!" - Against Me!, "Thrash Unreal"

Nope, I'd pay off my tuition and be an MD that much faster.

*cries at the thought of writing the tuition check this week*

yeah, I probably would, but only once a week at the most, and only for fun. I'd play whatever music I wanted, and not cater to the crowd. I would also work shifts no longer than five hours. other than that, I'd probably travel a lot copletely at my own leisure; mostly through asia and indonesia.

i would dance and travel, im assuming id probably enjoy the dancing alot more having to REALLY not worry about the $$.

When i got to old to dance id open a strip club or someother sort of social creative venue.

Soo ummm basically if i were a millionaire id live the exact same life that i am living now and plan on living...without some extra worries about $$ :0)

I would buy a strip club and dance just for fun, not money. I really want to own my own strip club and have for years and years.

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

i would dance one more day. i would have all my close friends come in on that day and i'd give them a ton of money to spend on all the girls. i'd have the dj play anything i wanted (when i was up) and i'd let the other girls pick whatever the hell they wanted to dance to.

i'd go back as a customer after that, but i'd never dance (in a strip club) again.

No way!!! The first thing I'd do is pay off all my bills. Next, buy our dreamhome and invest my money so I can add to my millions. This way I wouldn't have to worry about my children ever having to dance to support themselves. There are a number of reasons why I'd quit the industry if I suddenly became a millionaire and the number one reason is because I don't want my children to ever learn that mommy dances for a living. Its not easy leading a double life. The second reason is because dancing is just a means to an end; a dead end career. There's no getting promoted and its not something I feel one can retire on. Third, I'm fed up with never knowing how much I'm gonna make or not make each night. Its so much nicer to have money you can depend on to get through life each week/month or year. One of the things I think I hate the most about dancing is the politics. Its either putting up with the b.s. of racial discrimination from managers that have an attitude about hiring women of color or having your money go down during the invasion of rodeo or nascar (it doesn't go down if the club brings in better clientele) or the misfortune of being sexually harassed and being refused employment or a decent shift simply because you refuse to put out.

Definitely. I'm not sure if I'd do this myself because I don't have a clue about how to run a business, but I am hoping some day it will actually happen. Run by women, for women. No more disrespect and verbal abuse from these piece of shit, scum of the earth SC managers and owners.

^ That sounds about right. I'd do one more night, not say anything but hand out the money, like you said. Then at the end of the night I'd tell off every single customer that has given me a hard time, and also one of the scumbucket managers that I downright loathe.....I'd give him a piece of my mind too.
The only time I'd ever be on a pole again would be the one I had installed in my bedroom. Or on those party bus things that all the rick folks rent in Vegas....

Hell no, i'd never dance again if i had the money. I love Penny's idea of the one high rolling night at work and would totally do that! But i might get myself my own pole just for fun.

If i had no money worries my life would be very different. I'd definitely start my own business and i'd most certainly write a book. I wouldn't be living in a shared house if i had the money (although right at this moment living in a hotel waiting to move into a shared house!) ah - i could have space and privacy, what luxuries! I do like living in London so i would probably keep a home in London but definitely some travelling - Asia has to be done i really want to go to Japan! - maybe an apartment in New York... Hang on, how many million do i have???! Although the ironic thing is the more money you havbe the more free stuff people give you so i could probably score a round the world trip for nothing as a millionaire whereas now - nada!

I've thought about this a lot. If I was a millionaire, first I'd go away to a beauty spa/"fat farm" to get back to my ideal weight . Then I'd travel the world, learn languages, and write about my experiences and review the hotels, restaurants, and accomodations I used. I'd be covered head-to-toe in mintage fashions(modern vintage a la MODE MERR, STOP STARING, PIN UP GIRL CLOTHING,etc) fashion. I'd be so well dressed, well coiffed, and beautifully scented,I'd spend a certain amount of time each day just admiring myself-just kidding. (I've been a tight budget for so long that I've forgotten how GREAT it feels to pamper myself- just by betting my hair done in a salon -I dye my own hair and do my own manis and pedis...) While it would be totally wild to be a millionaire stripper who still worked, I'd probably only dance for my SO. Thanks for letting me dream...Harlow

Maybe every now and then just for fun. But if the business was like it was 8 or 10 years ago.

I remember when you could get a crown going with a good show and the $$ was obscene. It was fun then, I'd go back if it were still like that.

    Not a shot in hell.

I do this for the money, only. So, if I no longer needed the money, bye-bye dancing.

I'd work if needed at a normal job, but hopefully just spend wisely and live off investments.

Probably not....I would go into the club and get all my favorite dancers and spend tons of money on them just to sit in the champagne room all night and get drunk, have tons of awesome food brought in and have a huge party.

    hahahaha amen!

I am so loving these responses, ladies. wow.

i would definitely spend a lot of fun nights as a crazy strip club customer just making things wild and exciting, making it rain on every one, that would be my charity and my tithing- fun as hell nights in the club giving the girls the money they deserve.

i would dance here and there for fun, but i would spend all my time traveling and writing, clearing my head from all the shit I've been through in my life, starting non profits- like this dream I have of having a single/working mom foundation that provides just everything moms need to get by- from free childcare to free massages and spa treatments to therapy- EVERYTHING.

A pit bull rescue sounds divine.

I would buy a nice cabin and get off the grid and wait for apocalypse with everyone I love close by.

Or an artist commune so all my friends could finally sit around and make art and write all day and make our dreams come true.

    so much

and i am talking multimillions. if you have good investments you can easily earn 200,000- 500,000 a year and keep the millions safely in the bank.

and all of you women are so business minded from being dancers that you could easily become very successful entrepreneurs.

Keep the responses coming! I love them!

I would go in a few nights a yr just because I would know that I did not need the money. I would then make it a point to pick out all the assholes you normally avoid , and make them feel like the miserable sacks of sh!t they are. I would tell off so many people that I have always wanted to , but couldn't because I can't lose my job.
Then I would go home with a smile on my face to count my money. I would also burn a hundred dollar bill. Just because I can.
    I know , I'm weird.

I think I'm with Ruby. I love this business, it's an addiction. I always heard the jokes about how once you start you never stop, you just take breaks. I use to laugh when people said that, but it seems to be true. The girls who hate it usually come back for the money, and the rest of us come back because we can't stand to be away from it. My fear will be the day that I'm too old to be on stage and have people enjoy my performances!

So, if I were suddenly a millionaire tomorrow, I'd probably want to go travel and see clubs all around the world, work to see how they are actually run... and then open up a fantastic club! Even then though, I'm sure I'd still dance...
    Don't you ever sleep?

^^ I def. hear you out on this one.

I'd travel the world and dance at clubs all over the world for fun. I love dancing and I figured there's no better time than the present

I wouldn't keep dancing as a full timer though. I'd go start taking classes that I want to take.. like learn how to sign.. read my fav book off the beach in Tahiti... take some culinary classes for fun... volunteer at a pound... go spend money and swim with dolphins.. I'd do whatever the fuck i want! Go work at mcdonalds and see how fast I can get fired from there... :p

I'm so weird like that -
