Default Do you enjoy any of your work

During another thread i caught myself saying enjoyable for both the customer and the dancer---which brings this thread.

I would hate to go to work everyday just trying to get through it. Taking the amount of money out of the equation---as in how much you made that particular night. Is there any enjoyable parts of the job? is it possible?

Can you look back at any particular nights and say Damn i had a good time tonight. I am not saying falling in love and shit--just having a good time talking dancing and just meeting some interesting customer that you really just had a good time.

Is the tease fun--the idea that you have the power to make some guys putty in your hands---are men the only ones that get on power trips?

if anyone has one night that stands out--can you post it.

i would just hate to think that every club i walk into there is nothing but a bunch of dancers in there that are praying just get me through this night.

i know its all about the money--but i would not work somewhere that makes me miserable for no amount of money.

i have fun every night - counting my money on the drive home....no, but there were definetly nights which i met custies that i really genuinely had a great time with. its not super unusual because i'm easily amused, its always been in the CRthou- because otherwise i don't sick around long enough to talk. the couple particular times that come to mind are 1. - the guy was just hilarious we drank 2 bottles of champagne together and were just laughing and goofing off for 4 hour straight. (he came to see me several times, cause he had fun as well) the 2nd time was also with smne who didn't take himself too seriously and was teaching me how to do handstands in the CR. haha , he was like "you can do it" finally i ended up doing it against the mirrored wall in the CR with him holding my feet up. usually the common denomination for my fun experiences is them having a really good sense of humor.
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

I like work most nights. Ive been dancing 10 years so i have ALOT of good memories, i would have quit if i hated it.

I meet people from far away from me and the places ive been and I ask them about themselves a lil. If they are from somewhere interesting i indulge and pick their brain about that area and culture...I prefer doing this over drinks and before a VIP room /dances w/ a custie, but it usually works out that way.

*Countless times i have made life long lasting memories w/ the dancers i work with. Although our friendships pretty much stayed in the club, ill never forget some of the good times ive had w/ girls i have danced w/.

One of my favorite memories is when a club allowed stage rotation to stop at a smaller club when i got all 6 members of a bachelor party (young ass cheap looking dudes)to book all 8 of the dancers in the VIP room!!! We all had bottles and were drunk and dancing around the room like musical chairs. We all made money. I guess when we all came down like a herd of cattle we realized that no customers had left because they heard the screaming and squeeling upstairs and wanted to wait for the dancers to come down so they could party too!!! Everyone down stairs was like "what were you doing up there, you were soooo loud???" LOL

I had a regular for 2 years and we had great times together. Nothing OTC either! He'd come in when I called, we'd laugh, drink etc etc.

I would say I meet 80% nice, fun guys, 10% weirdos and 10% perverts. So I normally have a good time when I go to work.

^^ Excellent post and on point. I know many dancers do not want regulars because of potential drama but in many cases it can instead be fun with the dancer earning her usual money in a more enjoyable atmosphere. It's probably about her picking her regulars wisely and avoiding the needy guys or the guys who think once they "get to know" the dancer they don't have to spend on her any more which is retarded.

My ATF has been dancing for about sixteen years. Does she love every minute of it? No, of course not. But she does love the job. She loves the money, the flexibility and the chance to have fun with many, not all, of her customers.

I think there are some girls who truly are miserable being dancers and I don't think it's that hard to tell when you run into them in a club. Fortunately it's also easy to avoid them and find the ones who enjoy making a good living and know how to go about it.

^^ Being a reg makes so much sense to me. I don't get why a clubber wouldn't want to be one.

Maybe I should make a new post asking opinions on that topic.

Horses for courses, FBR. Motivations for walking into a SC vary considerably. A few reasons why some custies have no interest in becoming a regular:

    * "Hobbyists" (if I may call them that) who go to SC's purely to chase mileage.

    * Guys who can't handle the thought that part of the reason the dancer likes them is that they're a regular source of income.

    * Guys who are like kids in a sweetshop and want to get dances from different dancers on every visit.

Now I'll grant you I know some long running dancer/regular situations (your good self for one), but most (at some point) come to an end - in the main because the customer eventually realizes that the ITC relationship will not transition into an OTC one.

Well glad to hear that some out there are enjoying it, i would feel horrible if something i was doing was causing someone pain. I guess i have never realized if i ever had one of those dancers because they covered it up so well.

i tend to stay away from the drunk and depressed looking dancers so maybe i havent come into contact with one yet....i mean if you dont look happy or if something seems to be bothering you i will move on.......

i only go to cities for a short period of time for the jobs i am working so to be a regular would be no more than 3 or 4 times ---but i tend to try to find a new one for the night unless i cant find one i will go back to what i know is fun---unless she is just so super special that i cant wait to get back to her----i have had 3 of those in 10 years...but most of the time when i get back to that area they are gone.

the posts of good times also help us know how to get the most of our time with you all so thanks for the responses and if there are anymore out there i would love to here them

I know I tend to ratchet up expectations over time. Sounds like your regulars are way better grounded in reality.

Well, I would not be comfortable being a "regular" of a certain dancer. Maybe later, when I am not such a newbie, my view will change, but at this time of my life (about 6 months of going to SCs), I am still, as Phil put it, a kid in a candy store. I usually get a few dances from several dancers at each visit. Sometimes a dancer has danced for me previously, but I do not consider that a plus even if I had a great time the previous time.

I guess I like to be entertained by different dancers for several reasons. Firstly, since I am a newbie, I am still looking for "something even better". Secondly, I like variety. Thirdly, I do not want to develop a relationship (a friendly, seller-customer, relationship) with a dancer that would likely follow if I were a regular -- it would seem just a little creepy. Sorry.

I LOVE my job. That's it...I love the hustle, the struggle, and the fact that every night after work I feel like I learned something or became a stronger person because of it. Is it all about money? Actually no, it's all about the assholes who treat me like shit because I take off my clothes for money. If they didn't exist and custies actually respected what I did most of the time, I would do it for less money, maybe even, a regular hourly wage. Haha.

And as far as power trip, it so IS for me. I love making men, or really anyone turn into putty in my hands.

There are many sorts of dancer/customer relationships. At one end of the spectrum is a guy who gets obsessed with a dancer and who is convinced that if he spends enough money/time on her, they'll have an OTC relationship.

At the other end of the spectrum is the sort of dancer/customer relationship where both sides are realistic about it and enjoy each others company ITC while not losing sight of the business aspects to the relationship.

And obviously an infinite number of variations on the theme exist between those two extremes.

Yeah, I know that it is a professional relationship, but still, hanging out ITC with a particular dancer, having an emotional (friendly) connection with her, puts me at unease. It would feel a like cheating on my wife.

Mrs. bsteve is fine if I go to lunches or dinners with coworkers or clients or friends, without any regard if they are male or female. If I told her that I need to fly overnight to a convention with my secretary, she would not bat an eyelash. And she is fine with me hanging out at strip clubs; she knows how much I enjoy looking at young naked women. But I think that my wife would have a problem if I were to go see a particular dancer, have drinks with that dancer, have dancer strip for me, laugh at my jokes, do a dances for me, rub her boobs in my face, and establish an emotional or financial connection to me. That is pretty creepy to me. It may be fine for other guys and their wives if the guy establishes a relationship with a dancer, but I don’t see a need for it for me. Unnecessary baggage with little upside.

Ah, a man with a strong sense of ethics.

Or to put it another way - the kid in the sweetshop who won't reach for the forbidden fruit.

    Phil.

No, it is not that I would not feel comfortable about reaching for the forbidden fruit; it is that I would feel uncomfortable going to the sweetshop for a particular fruit. What I mean is that my wife is cool with me enjoying all the naked bodies that I want to, but it would be different if I was actually seeing particular women. During sex we often fantasize about doing it with other people, but mentioning any specific person (whether an acquintance or a movie star) is a turn off. I guess we are kind of weird about differentiating between people and their bodies, but it works for us.

Amen, sister. That's why I don't get too riled up about my slow nights. The minute I think "OMFGWHARGARBLE! I only made a hundred bucks!" I stop myself and remember when I used to be happy to make that much when I was a waitress. And would I rather be dancing or waitressing? Easy question.

Dancing is not only fun, it's physically engaging in a way that's positive, instead of drudgery. I love physical jobs, but hate thankless backbreaking labor. When I dance, my every movement is something to be cherished!

Sometimes the customers are really fun. Usually they aren't, but sometimes they are. The good ones always end up in the CR or VIP with me, and no, I don't just like them because of the cash expenditure. The guys that like me enough to spend that much time with me are attracted to my conversation and personality, so naturally I'm going to click with them as well.

Humans have a tendency to focus on the negative. Especially around this forum . . . sometimes it's almost like a game of who can top who with the sucky night stories. I've noticed this on "Club Chat" too. People hardly say anything positive, it seems. Though maybe that's just me focusing on the negative!

For me, a fun night at work means that I made money while also getting to talk to interesting people and people who make me feel like I have succeeded at my job (i.e. they are obviously enjoying my services)...I dance to good music, my body moves well, and I don't have to hustle much (I get approached for dances).

So yeah--as with any job, I don't think many people would do it if they weren't getting paid. Obviously the monetary aspect is important. However, there are many ways to have an enjoyable shift-- usually where money accompanies a good atmosphere and fluid working environment.

I Definately enjoy the time I spend at the club. The money is only a factor in that if I go home with good money it means the people in the club have also respected that I am there to pay bills like everyone else who works. It is less enjoyable when I don't make goosd money- again because it means the people in the club haven't respected my role there and want to enjoy my talents for nothing.

I love my job! I like meeting new people, and I like knowing that I made someone feel really special and have a great time. I also like dancing, I could dance all night (if my shoes were more comfortable ) I can do it all over the world too which is really awesome too. I must admit I like the dressing up too. I'm def not a miserable dancer!
