I don't know if this makes sense, but I'm just wondering if you're nicer to guys, or more understanding because of the recession? Not in an extras kind of way, but if guys don't buy as many dances, or you get more guys saying "no", or not tipping as much on stage? For me it's really hard simply because of the nature of this business. I mean dancing naked for strange men, I feel, warrants decent compensation no matter what. But I've noticed many girls complaining about low earnings, tons more dancers working more shifts, and when things get really bad I try to remember that the economy is bad and many people are suffering, so I do try to act more appreciative of every single dollar, provided the guys aren't being assholes or anything.

I am about to come out of retirement and as i ever did i will appreciate every single penny i make but i still have no time for guys who come in with no intention of spending money. Like everyone else i have to support myself otherwise i wouldn't be at work and if you are not in a position to spend money then don't come to the SC.

(goodness, i guess i've got my hustle head back already)

    i've always been nice.

if anything, i've become more bitchy (not mean bitchy, just businesslike bitchy). more guys have always liked that than nice strippers, at least since i've been doing it, though i used to be able to find enough to make my quota. i think they see my bitch act as more "real" than my natural personality. lol. but yeah, gotta do what i gotta do to make money. and if that means treating them like wallets on legs, that's what i'm gonna have to do. i'd rather be nice, though.

    Nicer? No.

If a customer is having a tough time meeting his financial obligations and can't afford to buy rooms or dances, then he should be happy just tipping at the stage.

Girls should refrain from pushing too hard at the stage because he may be there because that is all the show he can afford ($1-2 a song is much more affordable).

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

No, I don't think Im' becoming more nicer..if anything I've become more intuned with my hotness lol. I feel like my target customer isn't "hurting" in this economy like the rest of the patrons at my club.

I do spend a little more time on my hustle though..

No nicer than usual. I very rarely an unpleasant to a customer. My nerves have been a bit short lately, but I mostly just remind myself that they are not worth getting upset over.

But nicer? No. I don't care if the economy is bad...you are in a strip club, you don't get to not spend money and still have everyone still be nice to you, lol.

True, this is a stripclub NOT a shelter. The men who come here SHOULD be willing to spend some money. If they cant' afford a good time with us beautiful ladies..stay the EFF home!

    seconded (or thirded).

If anything, i'm a little more aggressive, because i need the money.

I almost got into an argument with a friend once when i was describing my day, and how i was annoyed that i finally convinced a drunk guy I was worth getting "funny money" out for, and then another girl snatched him when i went for a quick restroom break.

friend: that sounds so manipulative and predatory.
    me: what?
friends: Its just seems so cruel to trick someone out of their money, especially when they're not in a sober mindset, and most especially in times like these!
me: well if you're tight on money, you probably shouldnt be getting drunk in a stripclub, talking to strippers.

I thought I would be I'm just not. I'm more what's the word, accommodating to guys that are not spending that much money as in..."Hey I'm glad you came in tonight maybe I'll catch you another time."

If costumers are ultra rude and they can be in my club, depending I might say something recession or not. Depends on my mood. I've been smoozin' new guys from out of town lately. They have been spending more short term but hopefully they will have fond memories and come back to my club next time they are in town.

Schmoozing the locals in my area rarely works. They are professional customers if that says anything at all.

I don't expect customers to be nicer to me because of the recession, so therefore, I'm not any nicer to them either. I have a family and bills to pay just like they do.

since the recession ive been away for a month in china visiting family and i have just started a day job thursday and went to work lapdancing yesterday(friday) and i think the long break and knowing i don't have to rely on what i earn dancing alone as i have a well paid day job has actualy made me more relaxed and im finding it much easier to get dances.
there will always be ups and downs in the economy so i think just ignore it and get on with life, act as you always have being more aggressive can only put men off buying dances 99% of the time x

same here. I make way more $$ being a bitch than I ever have being "nice."
