^^^I don't think telling her they hire "ANYBODY" is going to help her situation. She needs some pointers possibly or just wants to know what she should expect on an audition. They are scar the first time around.

My first audition was required here in Chicago. It was scary as hell but it finally came to the point of trying to relax I just got up and got on the stage. It was a full nude audition so that was crazy. But I got down after the first song. Was told I know how to dance (which was obvious being a dancer of professional sorts already) and that I was what they were looking for. After I got done I couldn't believe I had done it. But I felt great! Just gotta be confident and have fun with it. It's not an office job you are allowed to wiggle it ~_^

I didn't have to really "audition". I walked in, met a few managers, got a short, quick tour, filled out my paperwork (making sure they knew I had zero previous experience) and went to work. I got put on the stage rotation immediately, so I walked the floor for maybe an hour, then it was my turn on stage. I was terrified, but I didn't have too long to dwell on it. So, out to the stage I went. I just moved very sloooow, and sensual. I'm sure I was a little stiff, and I swear I could feel my legs shaking, but I didn't eat it or anything. I'm not flexible like a lot of girls, so I didn't do anything impressive, no pole work at all, and I refuse to roll around on the floor. I got stage tips and before I knew it, it was over, and my jitters just went away. It was fun when it was time to peel my dress off...it felt liberating and exciting. It makes you feel even better when customers come up to tip you on stage. I didn't venture too far away from the pole because it takes me a little while to find my groove, plus one night the stage was really slick. Just move very slowly. That takes a lot of time, and don't feel that you have to do overly difficult moves, maneuvers or pole tricks.
All the girls here told me, "it's not as bad as you're worrying about." And they are RIGHT. I worried and researched, and read and read for months at a time. Finally, things fell into place and i was able to go in, and lo and behold, everything they say was and is right on the money.
They know what they are talking about when they shell out advice, pointers and knowledge. They are right when they tell you that you will be fine. You will. I'm by nature a very high strung person, and for god's sake, I made it through, had a great time and made a shitload of money. AND YOU WILL TOO!! NOW GO! GO! GO! Knock 'em dead...or at least penniless!

Auditioning is not as hard as you might think! Just put on an outfit, heels, and makeup. It seems so hard to get all the details togehter ( I know ) , but I promise .... it isn't hard once you get a dancer bag together with everything. You'll get there and before you know it , you'll go " oh that was way easier than I thought " .

My first one was a botched attempt 7 years ago. I waitressed at a club , auditioned later at their sister club , and when the manager said " when do you want to work ? " I said " I can work Wed., Th., Fri. Sat., Sun " and I didn't REALIZE that I HAD been hired right there. I thought there were going to call me and tell me what nights to work. I thought that when they didn't call, I hadn't been hired. Oops. It all worked out though. I don't think it was a good idea to work in my home area anyway.

I auditioned in a different city around 6 months ago and worked a bit in that city. My dancing career was really short because I never wanted to face telling my family, so I "paused" dancing during the holidays and dont' know what to do with it now.

You don't even have to know pole stuff. You can just walk around the pole, move down to collect a tip, stand back up , bend over, ect. ect. ect.
Pretty soon there will be money on the stage for YOU to pick and put in your purse and it will be over ! You'll be over your nerves .

I first auditioned at 18 and wasn't even slightly nervous (despite being in an all nude club and never having had taken my clothes off in front of anyone since I was 2...)......so my experience probably won't help much here. Pretty sure I'm an anomaly.

Horible, I did't have an audition, I just started to dance. I didn't want to get naked and when I got of the stage, I got this girl trying to convince me how it's not such a bad thing to get naked. She would go on and on. I think she was on coke or something. She helped though
Seriouslly, it isn't such a horible thing. Try to have an open mind, you will be fine!

My very first audition I wound up getting scared at ran off the stage out of the club. Fortunately, they called me back because I left some personal property there and the manager talked me into auditioning again. I was still scared as crap but got through it. Glad I did to because I lost my full time job a little latter. So I had it to fall back on, now I am a stripper full time at the club.

My first audition was at an amateur night at a full nude club. I brought some of my closest friends with me and that helped ALOT. (Yeah we're a weird group) What helped me most was practicing in a mirror using the same songs I danced to in the club, (i just laid a long mirror on the floor and practiced on floor work, I didn't have a pole yet) and all the lovely ladies of SW. If it were not for them, I'd still be thinking about it. Also, I dressed in my outfit, heels and all, and wondered around my house for for about a week before I auditioned. That way I was comfortable in it.
When it comes down to it, I'll let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I'm already better then them.
