Default Is Your Walk Different at Work?

When I reluctantly wound up working at a club I didn't want to be at, there was one particular girl who drew attention to herself with a crazy walk I suppose she felt was sexy. It was VERY exaggerated. I've only seen one other dancer walk a certain way. In fact, this one doesn't exactly walk. She saunters and keeps a slight grin on her face the whole time. The funny thing is, she dances both on stage and during LD the same way. Watching her do a LD is like watching a catiller barely hump a tree. Most girls just walk normal.

Do you try to have a completely different walk once you're at work?
Is your walk the same as it would be for a regular night out on the town?

I don't consciously adopt a different walk--but I'm sure the 7" platforms shift my posture slightly so it's more overtly sexual. When I'm on stage, I sort of drag my toes and walk by setting my feet down one in front of the other--kind of like a catwalk strut, I think. But I don't walk around the club like this! I would feel stupid.

also, lol at the humping caterpillar image.

I've done various forms of dance my whole life so I've been complimented frequently outside of the club on how I walk. However, sometimes I wonder if having danced for the past few years, exotically (lol), has made my everyday walk even more seductive than normally as sometimes I'll get curious looks when I'm out and about and realize I'm probably in my 'DANCER dancer gait' without even realizing it.

Hmm... But in the club, I don't really notice trying to walk sexily since I'm just used to walking tall in those damn heels and relying on knowhing how not to fall off of them!

i've always had a pretty ridiculous ass shaking kind of walk. i take long strides and my hips swoosh from side to side. even when i'm not wearing heels. i've knocked drinks off of tables in restaurants before. it's pretty bad.

in the club, i play it up slightly, but not much. i get a lot of compliments on my walk (you walk like a model, etc). i think it would probably look pretty silly if i wasn't as tall as i am though.

This night is gonna end when we're damn well ready for it to be over, worked all week long, and now the music is playing on our time. I walk a lot slower, but that's about it. It's 50% from heels and 40% because I'm checking out the room and about 10% hoping someone is oogling me.

There was a girl who literally moved in slow motion. Danced the same way too. It was so odd..but she oozed sex (a customer told me this lol)

For me, I have a sexy stride when I walk the room. When I get on stage (it's built kinda like a runway) I do my hippy long legged Tyra Banks runway walk. I smile, toss my hair, and all that other barbie shi*

I walk very differently, can't explain it but I can tell instantly if I see a girl on the street who's a stripper. We all have this particular way of walking that's very obvious.

I try to always have perfect posture when I am at work. I guess it shows that I am confident.

But off work I slouch big time!

I teach like 7 different walks in my sensual dance classes. I personally only use about 3 on stage, and 1 on the floor. I have had friends mention to me that I tend to saunter when we are out on the town. I don't do that on purpose though, and I think it's more when I get around the music that I like in night clubs.
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

    Indeed!

I got a bit part in "the wrestler" (it was filmed in my club). When a friend went to go see it he mentioned that he recognized me in the background by the way I walked
