    Default Brazillian Wax Burnt Me

I went to my usual waxing salon this morning but the woman who usually does my wax is away on holiday.
So this new girl started, and straight away I was like "That wax is way too hot ." So she turned it down, it was still hotter than usual but bearable.

I asked for a brazillian and what I got was a weird bikini/hollywood wax !
Let's put it this way I don't have a 'landing strip', but she didn't go far enough in so - oh it just looks a mess !

When she put the afterwax lotion on it felt quite sensitive, and by the time I got home I was burning.
It's so bad that I can't even wear panties, and my skin is red and really bumping up !

I've been getting waxed for years and never has this happened so I'm not sure what to do.
Anyone have any idea what to do make it hurt less? Right now all I feel like doing is sitting in a cool bath before I ring up and complain to the salon.

I would follow up and complain to the salon, it sounds as if
the girl needs more training. She should have tested the wax on
her wrist to make sure that it was not to hot. I burnt my leg in the
groin area, spillt hot tea while driving. Anyway I use Emu oil, you can
google it online to find suppliers, it healed the area, and there is no scars. It
    is used for burns.

Thanks august I'll order some on-line now.
I've shot an e-mail off to the salon owner.

Oh my god, my friend had this happen to her! She had a new girl at her usual place wax her as well, and came home with burns AND bruises all over. It was the worst thing I had ever seen. I believe she put aloe on it, but its was hurting her way too much so she picked up some topical burn ointment from Wallgreens. It seemed to help her a bit, and she was healed up in a week or so. Ive never heard of the cream August recommended, but if it helps reduce scars that may be your best option. You dont want to have permanent damage from a girl that was obviously not ready to be working on paying customers yet.

I hope you are planning to call the salon. I would be ripping the manager a new one! I agree, it sounds like the girl needs more training!

Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

I called the salon, but the manager wasn't there - the receptionist said that their policy on complaints is that they have to be put into writing, but I was welcome to do it in e-mail form and then the manager would get back to me.
I went one better as I know the salon owners e-mail address so decided I'd address it there.

This morning I got a full apology and the offer of £100 worth of treatments, and an assurance that the BT would NOT be waxing anyone else until she had been trained properly.

I'm pretty happy with the outcome but totally pissed off trhat it happened in the first place - I'm super blistered up today

I would take pictures and send them to the owners email as well. Also document them for yourself. I watched a horror segment on Tyra show about people experience really bad skin problems (burns, discoloration, fungal infection etc) from bad salons.
