    Default the lazy stripper

a lot of the threads in body business make me feel like i'm slacking off on maintaining my stripper image, even though i feel great about myself and don't really worry about how i look. reading about how much time, money, and effort some of you all put into it made me wonder though. am i a lazy stripper?

    - i don't tan (i'm so fair i'd just burn. self tanners are orange, always. so i'm content to stay pale and freckled)
    - i don't get manicures or pedicures. i have short nails that usually have chipped paint on them
    - i don't get facials
    - i don't get waxed, i just shave everything
    - i rarely have anything more involved than a haircut done to my hair (it's bright red naturally, i like the color so why change it?)
    - i don't work out other than work. at all
    - i don't diet or try to keep certain foods like carbs out of my system (other than being vegan)

how many of you actually do all of these things? are there things you slack on? am i actually being lazy about stuff?

well, i'm with you up until the nail point- cause thats just scrubby and unglamorous. cause you can still be naturally hot while being pale, unhaircutted, unfacialed, noworkedout and eating whatver, but nails- i think scruffy nails ruin the stripper illusion. i'm personally too cheap to get them done, but i faithfully paint them once a week. but i'm with you on the rest - although the level of commitment to my beauty regiment depends what kind of club i'm at. if i'm at just regular warehouse low competition joint- they're lucky if i brush my hair before work, but if i'm at a higher end gown place- i'll self tan, and up my beuaty regiment to better compete with the other high maintenance hussies.
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

I self tan, work out, and try to eat healthy. That's about it. I am considering getting a pedi, though...I've noticed a direct correlation between good/bad feet and good/bad money. All the girls who bank have nice feet and nails.

I agree that the nails are important, and the rest of it... meh. I don't think you're lazy at all, though. It's exhausting to do all the prep work that some girls do, and some clubs just aren't worth it.

remember that your feet are at eye level to customers when you're on stage, or if like my club, you walk on the bar after stage for tips. they should always look nice.

Guys notice the nails. I try to get a basic manicure every 2-3 weeks, and a pedicure monthly. In between, I just keep them filed, polished and clean. At the very least, I won't let the chipped paint stay on there... that's not attractive. I'd rather have them bare and clean. Note: this applies to hands ONLY. Feet MUST always be done.

-I don't tan (I'm black, not necessary), but I sometimes use Jergen's Natural Glow.
-I keep up with my hair mostly b/c it's completely unmanageable by itself.
-I'm trying to workout more and watch my diet.
-I go back and forth between waxing and shaving depending on how the funds are, but shaving is good enough.
-I don't get facials, though I'd like to start.

Here's the thing: I do what I feel is necessary for me. I'd recommend keeping up with your nails, but otherwise, if what you're doing works for you, then stick with it. Some chicks require more effort to stay up to their personal beauty standards.

I'm with you on all of that except the nails, I keep mine long (real nails) and well maintained.

I work at a "gentlemens club" and spend almost no money on clothes/shoes, dont buy fancy makeup, don't tan (even fake stuff), i get my hair cut maybe 2x a year and dye it maybe 3-4x a year (at home usually), dont watch what i eat for any reason other than trying to be healthy in general, i shave (no wax for me, ouch!), dont work out, really just don't do any of the things the stereotypical stripper does. My thing is i just shower/shave right before work (like maybe 2-3hrs before), so I am always fresh. I get a ton of compliments on my looks and body and makeup (and i wear way less than most girls i work with) and people dont believe me when i tell them i dont work out, etc.

I think some girls do all the stuff cause they think they need it, some do it cause they do need it (we all know some like this), some do it just cause they like doing it, and some do it cause they are convinced you have to do it to be a good stripper.

Not lazy really as long as it isn't hurting your money.
