    Default Age issues?

    Hey,

I was wondering if any of you girls had ever had a problem with being too young?

Often, a custie will ask my age and when I tell him I get some variation on "You're young enough to be my daughter/grandaugter", which pretty much kills all chance of getting a dance from them (and if they do get a dance, it can be creepy, one custie told me afterwards it was like a fantasy he had involving his kid - WTF?).

Has anyone else had this happen and what should I do about it - I was thinking of saying I was older, but worried about lying to them or seeming too old.

I'd laugh and say "HUH???!!! Nahhhhhhh" and tell them they're wrong, they don't look THAT old, "haha really, no way, you look really good for your age!"

Just deny it and switch the conversation back to how awesome they are for looking so good, and how you think the chemistry between you so great, you don't even remember their age, yadda yadda.

Don't act awkward!! He'll feel it, and he'll feel even more awkward. Avoid awkwardness at all costs, just laugh it off! Pretend it's not true, and make him forget. I dance for father/grandfather types all the time (i'm 21), and i just tell them I love older men, they're so much smarter and mature and capable of good conversation.

"What? 21? You're old enough to be my granddaughter!"
"Huh?? Really? Oh, hahah! I GUESS... except i'm not! And I think you're sooo sexy..."

It comes with the territory. Just realize that there will be many more men who don't think you remind them of their kids/grandkids and can separate the two appropriately. I'm 25 and still have guys assume I'm lying when I tell them the truth as they think I'm much younger. Appreciate the guys who are genuinely uncomfortable that you 'hit a little too close to home' and move on.

If you find it happening too frequently, try applying more makeup, dressing/being more sexy or fantasy-like and less 'real' and it will help those who are on the fence about things much more easily. Keep things light and airy, don't get too much into talking about school or plans for the future with guys who look more 'fatherly' as that will remind them of conversations I'm sure they have with their daughter and her school age friends.

    Good luck!

I have found that 24 is the perfect age. Guys just have nothing bad to say about it, not too old & not too young. LOL Try it out!

Being an older dancer I have some custys that are thankful that I am over 30 because they don't want to dance with a teenager. They say it creeps them out and they prefer experienced women over little girls. Don't get me wrong I was a teen aged stripper at one time so I'm just sayin'.

Let me tell you what is really creepy, being 30 something and dancing for 19 year-olds. Sometimes I tell them how old I am and sometimes I don't. Hey I'm not there to judge...
