Eat more protein. Drink some ensure shakes.

I have the same issue and the same weight and height as you...I'm so desperate to gain some weight...
A couple years ago; I took CLA for a lil while and I ended up loosing too much weight and now it does not want to come back![]()
mmmmmmmm twinkies
weight-training!!!
Ensure is good but they have a few that add more weight designed for people struggeling with illness that need to keep up thier weight. Anyhow it's 350-460 cal per can and mostly protien. U can find it at CVS or any Supermarket I forgot the label on it, but there are a few brands. I think Ensure is only 250 or something like that not sure. You just want the ones with the higher cals and just drink it with yr meals 1 or 2 a day max.
I couldn't gain weight(even though I have no appetite problems) I wanted gain I couldn't seem to put on me pigging out or working out so I did that to the extreme of drinking a few of those a day (actaully I had 3 everymourning becuz it sort of made me hungery for more)--plus I going to smootie King and getting some cholocate banana weight gainer drink that is around 640 cals loaded with muscle mass boosters and creatine. I did this for like 1-2 months. Worked real well to help me gain the weight that weight lifting/eating more alone didn't allow me to get -now my body stays at 120 which is where I wanted it becuz for me 107 is just to thin cuz I need the weight to have any curves and now I have much better legs. I'm sure the BA accounted for about 5lbs still 8lbs of pure body mass did my figure some much wanted and apperiacted good.
You do have to be careful not to gain too much taking protien and muscle mass boosters becuz the thing is when u gain muscle it will turn into fat before u lose what u put on soo if you gain it you have to maintain it or it will become weight you didn't want to add to yr body. So don't go to over board and stop before u are at yr ideal as it'll take time for it to change up with u, but u don't want to realise that after the fact and then u have weight then to lose.

maybe you could go to a doctor and he could prescribe something for you to increase your appetite.

Hmm....I'm around 5"4" and weigh about 96 lbs....I don' think that's too skinny at all...but I guess people have different ideas of "skinny."

weight training, gain muscle NOT fat!

i'm 5ft6 1/2 and 120 lbs... i've fluctuated from 115-125 over the past few years. the only thing i feel really works is pushing yourself to eat more. like, still eat healthy, but when you feel "full" eat a little bit more (don't make yourself sick, of course). this will stretch your stomach out. eventually you will "need" that same amount to make yourself feel full. it's a cycle. it works for -losing- weight as well. if you're trying to lose it, you let your stomach shrink.. and then it doesn't take as much to "fill you up".
Chili's Molten Chocolate Cake w/ Vanilla Ice Cream
1 Serving
1270 calories
62 fat grams
31 sat fat
172 carbs
^^^If that won't put on weight, I don't know what will lol.
But I agree with a pp who mentioned putting on the right kind of weight- you don't want to just get flabby, so go with what others have suggested. But feel free to indulge.... I love the chocolate molten cake from Chili's- but when I saw the calories- I could never eat it again! lol
I read somewhere that to gain weight you have to eat 19 calories for every pound you weigh
so you weigh 98lbs you would have to eat 1862 cals a day
(considering the recomended daily intake for a women is 2000 cals Id aim for that)
Try to eat 3 meals a day that contain alot of calories like oatmeal for breakfast, potatoes, pasta, milkshakes. And then 3 snacks a day like bannanas, peanut butter is meant to be really good and tuna!
At first eating more will feel like such a hassle but once you start eating more your stomach gets bigger and it will be easier
If you want to put on weight in specific areas then you will have to use weights and google some excercises for that body part
A general rule is less reps (that stands for how many times u do the excercise) and more weight helps put on weight.
And more reps with less weight helps you to lose weight
Try to cut out cardio as that will make you lose weight (cardio is like running)
And dont worry about looking muscular or watever because if youre eating enough food, a layer of fat will cover your muscles so you will just look nice and toned.
I hope this made sense lol I know quite abit about about that sorta thing you can pm me if you want to know anything else
xx
P.s I think skinny girls are gorgeous too jus an example

that girl is HOT! perfect body IMO

have you seen a doc to rule out a medical reason that's keeping you from gaining? i had a thyroid thing a few years ago and dropped serious weight

I spent the last 7-8 years trying to gain weight because I felt the same way. I don't see anything wrong with super thin girls it's just that I find more curve much more attractive is all. I always ate pasta every single day of my life but beware its carbs and carbs give you energy and may give you enough energy to go moving around like crazy. I'm not sure how I finally gained it to be honest. Just took time to get my body to accept it I guess. Now that I am at the weight I am comfy with I am working on just toning it. ^_^ Takes time and pateince and persistence.

Its seriously so yummy! I ate it at least once a month for the longest time... during my pregnancy I had it alot, plus other cakes, brownies... and I wondered why I gained so much weight! LOL
It's cut out now that I'm trying to lose weight, blah.
*jealous of anyone who can eat that and NOT gain weight*
I dont weigh much. I'm a couple inches shorter than the OP. I prolly weigh like 95lbs. I feel not need to gain or lose weight. Its not about the number rather what make your feel healthier.![]()
I just remembered a trick my ex used to trick her pitbull into beefing up.. Cover meat with honey and it will increase yr hunger.
Some1 also told me condensed milk was good for that too.
As for thyroid issues--No don't go to the docter and have them slow it down. Every1 I know that put on weight that way regrets it becuz there is no turning it back.
It's much better to have a fast thyriod that burns calories that you might have to feed more then a slow one.
That famous swimmer who won all the gold metals has to eat 12 times a day, but that is becuz he's body uses all of that and stores very little fat. Ofcourse he stays very active to mantian that.
If naturally you only weight 95 either that is the weight yr body is meant to be or you are eating to little. Slowing down yr thyriod just throw off yr bodies natural balance to store more fat verses building muscle.
Doing weights is great(less reps more weight), but you have to have the fuel to feed ti to gain it. If not weights will just make you more ripped no matter how much you lift and you will max out before reaching any growth if yr body is not getting the intake of surplus cals you need.
As for molten cake--now that's some good floorplay food, but I wouldn't have it before hitting the gym as it would cancel out to having empty calories. For that you might as well try gaining weight drinking pepsi zero. Unless u are going to sleep on it and let it go str8 to fat.

I agree with the people saying to train your stomach to accomodate more food. I'm 5'3 and weigh 99 pounds unfortunately. I kept asking my doctor for something to help me gain weight and he said I was healthy and to stop agonizing over my size, so I started drinking ensure 3 times a day. I did this for a few months and wouldn't gain more than 5 pounds, so I stopped, since it was too expensive. Even after gaining 40 pounds from pregnancy I ended up losing all of it and going back to 100 pounds after I stopped breastfeeding her at 7 months.
I do notice that if I eat a lot, i'm actually hungrier, so I eat more, but instead of eating a bunch of high calorie treats, I eat meals like pasta and rice. I also drink weight gain shakes at the gym, or protein, which can act as a weight gainer if you drink a lot and eat a lot. I'm also about to start weight training to see if that helps, but overall, I don't think there's much we can do about gaining and keeping the weight. It's a struggle and very difficult to maintain once you do gain. I'm trying to accept being skinny.
I also think that once we get a little older our metabolism will slow down. My mom and Nana were also very thin when they were my age, and now they are a normal size or trying to lose weight!
Oh, and the pot suggestion might work for you!! I get the munchies like a mothafucka!! It doesn't help me with weight gain tho, I think maybe because I smoke cigarettes also.
Eat ice cream.

Honestly, lots of protein, a moderate amount of carbs and start training with weights and using the pole more. By "training with weights" I don't mean 3lbs weights either. You simply aren't going to buff up that much... so go for like the 12/15lb weights.
Oh, and chocolate makes everything better. ;-)
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.
