'Erotic entrepreneurs' have no place in Destin

When I read how 'erotic entrepreneurs' are helpless victims it makes me ill. Please share your voice and expertise in the articles comments area.

If you think I'm over reacting feel free to rip me a new one too.

Does he know how many other lawyers put themselves through law school and bar exam preparation through stripping?

Idiots like that are the reason we make good money. The more people scream about how awful stripping is, the more taboo (and therefor more attractive and exciting) it becomes.

Just laugh at the irony of it. His little rant and condemnation of what we do helps keep our income high which entices more women to become strippers. He's shooting himself in the foot and he's too stupid to realize it. It's funny.

    He loses me completely here:

"In reality, strippers merely pull the wool over their own eyes in an attempt to label themselves as something less disgraceful. Moreover customers see these smiling women waving from the dance floor and assume the stripping lifestyle must be a free choice."

I hate this "they're victims, they just don't know they're victims because they're in denial" BS. There is a big difference between calling attention to issues that may need to be addressed in the industry and assuming that dancers are a homogeneous group, all subject to the same set of options and constraints.

Of course, his worst crime is that he doesn't even attempt to build a solid argument. There's no data, just blathering.

Maybe he's just jealous that some strippers make more money than he does in a year.

He probably spent it himself. I wouldn't be surprised!

Thank you Stripper Hacks for bringing attention to this article. I got a good laugh. From someone who has a background in journalism I must say that I was appalled, but not surprised by the misguided, close-minded, ill interpretation of dancing.

Where do I start? Oh yeah, the rat interpretation. Rats are disgusting at best so it makes sense why he would use such an unwanted pest to describe something he hates so profusely. But rats? What a way to start a bigoted article.

He also uses the words stripping and prostitution interchangeably as if they are one in the same. Only an idiot would accept such a comparison I need not explain why...

Then, to add insult to injury, the writer further protests that strippers are confused and in denial about what they actually do for a living so much that they suffer from the psychologically debilitating Stockholm Syndrome. Are you freaking kidding me?

And this quote kills me: "In what other industry does the bread-winning talent seem to live in such squalor while apparently pulling in buckets full of cash?"

Oh , I get it, rats live in squalor. Way to keep the tone of your article and he so eloquently ends this waste of space with... "The Destin City Council wasn’t fooled — they called the exterminator. The Destin City Council started 2009 off by getting it right."

Too bad, you started 2009 by getting it wrong. By all means, there are areas that don't want stripclubs in their neighborhoods. That's why many clubs are in industrial, remote areas. No biggie, but don't let that be the catalyst to your fallacy in logic, judgment, and rationale.

This article is an embarrasment to his profession. Only right-winged haters would appreciate this type of bs. Everyone else with common mule sense would hopefully see through his lies and deceit.

Good God, I worked out in Destin. I'm not shocked in the least about this load of crap.

He's an idiot. He likely fell in love with a woman whom he later discovered worked as a stripper at some point. And, you know, you can't fall in love with a dirty whore, only a pious virgin.

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!
