    Default The money dried up...

    as of tonight officially.

My club is awesome, so it breaks my heart to say it, but it is D-O-N-E.

We have had mad girls driving up from Los Angeles. We are a small club (for Vegas at least, about 15,000 sq ft) . I was running an awesome average, and now, after a week-ish, I can officially say it's gone. It's been 3 days that all I have mad eis my house fee back. I'm going to school , and I can no longer pay out of pocket for it. And I have been doing this 7 years! Not like I'm a new kid and don't have a good hustle. The volume is not there.

I'm broken hearted at having to find a new option. It sucks so much. But in a small club, 110 girls is a lot.

I came to Vegas 10 months ago, to find a miracle, like most people. But now, I think I shouldn't have left Atlanta, no matter how good my graduate options are here.

I hope you ladies are doing much better.

i'm sorry to hear that. maybe you can find a day job and dance part time until it gets better?
"If she wants to dance and drink all night, well there's no one that can stop her. She's going til the house lights come up or her stomach spills onto the floor. This night is gonna end when we're damn well ready for it to be over, worked all week long, and now the music is playing on our time. Yeah we do what we do to get by, and then we need a release!" - Against Me!, "Thrash Unreal"

Vegas is just now what it used to be....but what about one of the larger clubs? Yeah its a crazy environment and there are tons of girls but Rhino, Sapphire, and possibly Treasures are going to be guaranteed packed thur- sun. You have posted that you are more of a weekday girl, which I am too, but working at one of the larger more popular clubs you have a better chance of running into "that one customer" who can make your night and there are more customers in general. I guess it depends on your tolerance level. I can't take that mega club environment every night but its worth it to me to work a night or two, and balance it out by working in a smaller more chill place consistently.

I tried all of July when I was on break from school, no dice. Now I can't because I go to school during the day. Dancing is essentially, with my schedule, my only option.

That's what I am doing tonight. I hate megaclubs, I really do. But a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. Sapphire wouldnt hire me (Weird, never got to see a manager, the door guy didnt even look up, just told me there was only room for dayshift) but Rhino did. I have worked there a couple times, and even though I hate it, it may be one of my only options now.

One of my girlfriends and I are going down to FL on spring break. I'm going to see my little sister (she lives there) but I'm going to work as well.

Yes that really sucks. I want to tell you something and I'm not sure if this a silver lining or wishful thinking or not.

Last January/February my club was not doing so well and after years of dancing I almost quit! Then one day in March I made $1000 and kept doing so around tax return time.

This year may be a different story but I wish I could encourage girls to hang in there or take a break if needed for a few extra weeks if dancing is what you really want to do.

Last year I was in tears as it was the worst I had ever seen. This year is just as bad if not worse but I'm going to hold out because this is what I do. I'm not expecting $1000 nights out of the blue but improvements usually come in the spring. I'll know more what direction I'll be headed in the next few months. So good luck!

    Mediocrity,

I really feel you. I also go to school and I have a kid. So, my options are limited as well. Except with me, I can't really work at night unless its on the weekend.

So after 10 months off, I went to get hired to work during the day, which was going well until the elections and holidays came, I haven't bounced back yet.

I went back to my old club and worked on my normal night schedule there for a week and then all of a sudden I go back to be told I am now on morning shift.

So, I go and work a morning shift during CES on a Fri or Sat night, there's about 10 girls in line ahead of me and more coming in. I worked from 2am-8am and made $100 over my $35 house fee. Wow, a whole hundred dollars. I haven't wanted to work there again since, but I am most likely going to have to, because day shift isn't helping me right now.

I was doing really good from Sept-Thanksgiving time. December was hit or miss, but I still did OK. But January, ouch!!!! I can't seem to make money for the life of me.

I don't really do a whole lot different. I still do what was making me money before, but no matter what I do, it doesn't help.

Sometimes, for months at a time, I'll be selling VIP like crazy and be a top earner, and then all of a sudden for like a month straight(sometimes longer) I am dead in the water. I really wonder if it has anything to do with the alignment of the stars and clash of personalities or WTF. I am seeing a pattern though, somewhat. Certain astrological signs I make bank on all the time, others shot down point blank. This is still a theory to me, but thats all I got to go on.

I know exactly how you feel, Mediocrity. The money used to be decent in most clubs but now, it sucks everywhere. I hate the fact that sapphire and spearmint shithole are the two busiest clubs in town because dancers just aren't treated well at spearmint shithole and when it comes to sapphire, the old race card is practiced there. I've been planning on returning to a regular job but I never thought it would be under these kind of circumstances. The club I once enjoyed working at was a sure thing on Friday nights but they're constantly making changes at the last minute and things have gone way down hill. I work at two different clubs and a number of girls have quit working at both of them because its been terribly slow. Besides, no one wants to pay a $65 housefee if they're not gonna make $200 or more. And to think, $200 was thought of as a bad night. These days its actually a good thing to make $200 for the night.

I'm in LA, working the bikini/topless circuit. Two of these type bars have closed/lost their license in the last three weeks. Dancers who don't want to dance nude are getting nervous. I feel lucky to be able to average around $200 in around 4 o 5 hours. But of course this is before tip out

To the OP: I think this is the time to try to cultivate regs. if you haven't been doing so. Yeah, they are work sometimes and a pain in the arse, but they come in handy during times like these.
