I just got a mole removed because it was weird, thank god for poor peoples' insurance. I would never have gotten insurance in the real world even though my waitress job offers it at 32 hours, they just make sure never to schedule enough hours for all the a-holes who believe it's so easy to get...
I applied to local hospital for "charity care" and thank god.
I went to the dermatologist about a weird mole.
After the biopsy they called and said it was "moderate atypical" and needed to cut more out.
I'm so thankful. My grandmother died from melanoma.
I am grateful, but at the same time I'm pissed that we don't have national health insurance in the US. I work my ass off, I have a college degree, but employers still screw you when it comes to benefits. They may advertise that you can get insurance, but most likely they'll never give you the required hours. Wealthy people never get this part, they think employers are upstanding enough to give you enough hours, NOT...
Anyway, does anyone know what this really means "atypical"?
I'm just so grateful for UPMC.
