I know..I can't believe I went through with it to. So, yeah I'm in the delayed entry program. That means I won't be shipped off to basic until July sometime. I'm really excited, and nervous. Anyways, I just wanted to share with my SW fam.

Congrats! I know you've been thinking about this for a long time. Do you know what area you are going to be trained into?
Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

Well, I'm joining the Reserves. I got a great bonus, and I get lots of money for school. And, they are repaying ALL of my student loans!!! Yeaaahhhh.
My job is working in humanitarian efforts. This is the actual link: http://www.goarmy.com/JobDetail.do?id=7

Congratulations! I've always wanted to do something like that, but I'm too much of a punk![]()
Well from the blue side ( Navy) I want to say congratz. I am in Kuwait right now on an army base. If you have any questions just feel free to ask. I will pick one of the green guys brains for you. Take care and good luck ^_^!

Congrats.
Being very pragmatic I would say
(a) Choose your specialization carefully. You want to leave the army with a trade that will provide you with an income into civilian life.
(b) Choose your branch of the army carefully. Some branches carry a significantly higher risk of death or injury than others. The infantry have the highest attrition rates in combat.

I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

I musta been living under a rock I dont recall reading anything like this from you, but wow CONGRATS!!! I have huge respect for what you're doing.

Good Luck! I hope it goes well for you.
congrats, i was in basic in fort sill oklahoma. and had my ait training in fort gordon in georgia. one piece of advice i can give is when you are asked in basic why you joined the army don't say it was because of the money for college. i made the mistake of saying that. the drill sgts. don't want to hear that. say you want to serve your country. i had to do a lot of push ups that daythe basic training i believe depends on the type of drill sgt. you get. i had drill sgts. that were infantry guys. other people i talked to said that drill sgts. that aren't infantry aren't as crazy
make sure your in good shape before your basic starts. i made the mistake of not being prepared for basic, and it took a little while to catch up with every one else.
