Default NY Times Bestselling Author seeks interviews for new book!

My name is Stephen Dublanica and I'm the author of the NY Times Bestselling book Waiter Rant: Thanks for the Tip - Confessions of a Cynical Waiter. After being featured on the and , I am currently writing a new book for Ecco/Harper Collins about tipping throughout the American service industry. I'm hoping that members from the Stripper Web forum will be able to help me research the chapter I'm writing about exotic dancers.

Exotic dancers work for tips. But how that money is distributed is largely a mystery to the American reading public. Do exotic dancers have to tip out the owner, DJ, bouncers, and other club support personnel? How do you feel about doing that? Is it fairly done? How much can a dancer make on an average night? What was the most you ever made dancing? The least? What's your overhead? Do itemize dance wear on your taxes? How is the current recession affecting your cash flow? Have the patrons been stingier with the tips as they watch their 401ks shrink? My goal is to tell your story in a way that's human, sometimes humorous, but most importantly, educational to the average reader.

I'm currently conducting interviews over the phone. Since any good story needs a sense of place, however, I will eventually be going on the road. I'm hoping that there would be some dancers on this forum who'd be willing to meet me in person and also allow me to observe them working in their club.(Those arrangements would obviously need to be negotiated.) For in person interviews I'm looking for dancers who work in the Las Vegas, San Diego, and Los Angeles areas. But if you're not from those areas, I would still love to talk about your story over the phone. All information gathered on these interviews, whether the interview is conducted on the phone or in person, will be held in the strictest confidence. I will not reveal any names or workplaces.

I am well aware that some people reading this announcement might think it's a scam. I assure you it is not. You can visit my website , Google my name, or search for news articles about me. If further proof is required, I'll be happy to pass along the name of my agent and publisher. You can call the listed main number of their companies, ask for them, and they will confirm the integrity of my intentions. MissDewdrop, a member of this forum with whom I have already spoken, can also vouch for me.

If you'd like to be part of my new book, please feel free to email me at . I look forward to hearing from you.

    Best wishes

    Steve Dublanica
