    Default Cake or Bed...?

Ok, so I just got emailed this chain/spam email - but it was kinda funny
I removed the "send this to 5 people thing" so, don't flame(!!) this is just supposed to be amusing..

    CAKE OR BED

A HUSBAND IS AT HOME WATCHING A FOOTBALL GAME WHEN HIS WIFE INTERRUPTS, "HONEY, COULD YOU FIX THE LIGHT IN THE HALLWAY? IT'S BEEN FLICKERING FOR WEEKS NOW."

HE LOOKS AT HER AND SAYS ANGRILY, "FIX THE LIGHTS NOW? DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE GE WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD? I DON'T THINK SO!"

THEN THE WIFE ASKS "WELL THEN, COULD YOU FIX THE FRIDGE DOOR? IT WON'T CLOSE RIGHT."

TO WHICH HE REPLIED "FIX THE FRIDGE DOOR? DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE WESTINGHOUSE WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD? I DON'T THINK SO."

"FINE." SHE SAYS. "THEN YOU COULD AT LEAST FIX THE STEPS TO THE FRONT DOOR? THEY'RE ABOUT TO BREAK."

"I'M NOT A DAMN CARPENTER AND I DON'T WANT TO FIX STEPS. DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE ACE HARDWARE WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD? I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU... I'M GOING TO THE BAR!!!!"

SO HE GOES TO THE BAR AND DRINKS FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS............................. HE STARTS TO FEEL GUILTY ABOUT HOW HE TREATED HIS WIFE, AND DECIDES TO GO HOME. AS HE WALKS INTO THE HOUSE HE NOTICES THAT THE STEPS ARE ALREADY FIXED. AS HE ENTERS THE HOUSE, HE SEES THE HALL LIGHT IS WORKING. AS HE GOES TO GET A BEER, HE NOTICES THE FRIDGE DOOR IS FIXED.

"HONEY" HE ASKS, "HOW DID ALL THIS GET FIXED?"

"WELL," SHE SAID, "WHEN YOU LEFT I SAT OUTSIDE AND CRIED. SUDDENLY, A NICE YOUNG MAN ASKED ME WHAT WAS WRONG, AND I TOLD HIM. HE OFFERED TO DO ALL THE REPAIRS. IN RETURN, ALL I HAD TO DO WAS EITHER GO TO BED WITH HIM OR BAKE A CAKE."

HE SAID, "SO WHAT KIND OF CAKE DID YOU BAKE?"

SHE REPLIED, "HELLOOOOO.... DO YOU SEE BETTY CROCKER WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD? I DON'T THINK SO!"

    HAHA - too good!

Have you ever seen the "I Love Lucy" episode where she and Ethel want the husbands to set up the BBQ but the guys don't want to do it until much later in the season? So Lucy and Ethel decide that they are going to set the guys up to build it NOW by acting like they are going to do it themselves. Of course Ricky comes in, sees them pouring the cement, says they are doing it all wrong and he and Fred take over and put the BBQ together right away.

I don't remember the exact quote but it's something like

"If you can't get him to do it, do it yourself, and he'll always want to show you how to do it because whatever you do it will be wrong."

I used that a long time ago with a lock. I had the laziest BF, totally smart but really lazy. I asked him for ages to change the lock on the door because one of the keys was lost, and he wouldn't do it. So my friend and I started to do it in front of him, and of course we were doing it "all wrong". Less than 10 minutes later he had the new lock in. It always works like a charm. ;-)
