I am in a club with the same situation, you pretty much just stand there and sway.

theres always floor work- you can kill a good chunk of time with that-get down on all fours -stretch, bounce your butt. roll over stretch pose, lift your legs, spread you legs, get on your knees slowly girate up and down......lather rinse repeat
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

God, f-ing tell me about it - it's ridiculous! We HAD a pole at our club and apparently some girl "broke" the pole one night. What?!?! What whale was up there doing pole tricks out of curiosity?
Anyway, I think there's only a couple of clubs left here that still have pole which is beyond irritating. Not into floor work because it bangs up my knees and when they had a pole my abs were ripped without effort, really. BRING BACK THE POLES!!!

You think having no pole is bad? We're not even allowed to do floorwork at my cub.

^ I agree, but we have literally nothing to do but sway.

When I had only been dancing for about 3 months, I got hired at a club. They were remodeling and changing names, and my first day there, they had just tore down the old stage and built the new one overnight. Only, the new stage, had no poles yet, of course, and it wasn't even done - we were dancing on plywood! Can you say splinters?!!? No pole, no floorwork, I couldn't imagine... there's a couple of moves I like to do like bend over, touch my toes, I can put one hand on the floor and do the ass clap that way.. but swaying, spinning and twirling seems like the only options from there.... sheesh. That's a headache just thinking about it. Watch the other girls for ideas maybe and report back I want to hear this

I just feel like clubs without poles are boring! Girls just standing there swaying? Pole dancing is a part of stripping, and a very beautiful part. I couldn't work without a pole..

Floor work is your only option, which can be very sexy as well. Take some dance classes to learn some better techniques on how to move your body. Good luck!!!!

It will only make you a better dancer.
Strut, spin, and sway; repeat, look around at audience, play into them. Make eye contact. Find a guy, catch him and move slowly just for him. Look around and keep strutting, spinning, and swaying. You should fnd money while you're doing this.

One of our stages doesn't have a pole. Check out youtube for ideas and examples of floorwork. That might help
