Default I almost burned down my house! Now everything reeks of smoke!

I was boiling pasta, and remembered that I was late for an appointment. I ran out of my house leaving the pasta on the stove. My roomate calls me telling me the fire department was there and put out a fire in the kitchen. I felt like such a dolt.

No one was hurt nor was anything damaged...except my pot.

How the hell do I get the starchy smoke smell out of my house???
    (yes, I opened the windows)
I'm getting my Dial-A-Stripper service up and running again. If you are in NYC or NJ and are interested in private party dancing, email candicedawson@ymail.com with your SW handle, contact info, photo (if you have one) & best time to call and I'll get back to you asap.

Iv set fire to my grill about 7 times, my memory is shit! (on the plus side Im amazing at putting out kitchen fires now)

I usualy clean the kitchen as normal, ya know spray and wipe down everything, give it a good airing. It will go away in a few days.

You had a very lucky wake up call there

A stripper looks good to make money
A civilian may be after your wage
A stripper laughs at your wage

...a lot of people would be crying if their pot went up in flames.

    from the breakfast club:

Richard Vernon: What if your home... what if your family... what if your *dope* was on fire?
John Bender: Impossible, sir. It's in Johnson's underwear.

My little sister nearly burned down the house with a kitchen fire a few years ago. I came home that afternoon and my all white kitchen was black. Then my my dog came running in to greet me... he, who's normally white, was all black too!

Anyway, you just have to clean EVERYTHING and open the windows for a few hours a day (sux cuz it's freezing). Soot from a fire (depending on how bad it was) gets everywhere. With the fire I mentioned above, there was soot in the closets in all of the bedrooms. You have to make sure to get all of that cleaned up as well, so look around the house to see if there's soot in funky places, which contributes to the smell.

burning Febreeze candles may help a little. And keep the windows open!

I know you gals like to appear HOT.

    But this is ridiculous!!!
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

    hahaha, thanks guys.

My roomate now keeps talking about it...she wont let it go! Its not like this is something I do on the regular. Whenever I plug something in, she unplugs it. She even unplugged my asthmatic-allergic-to-everything other roomate's air purifier because she "thought it was a heater."

Sometimes I just want to scream, "I may have almost burned out the kitchen, but youre a drunk who annoys the shit outta me!" Gaaah!
