Now that I finally have a working oven I can't wait to go back to cooking. I would love to know some of your favorite recipes because I am so sick of eating the same thing all the time so please post!

    Here are 2 of mine.

BONGO BONGO DIP - anyone who has ever eaten at BJs Resturant knows this!

1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
    16 ounces sour cream
1 packages Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
8 ounces shredded Colby Monterey jack cheese (reserve about 1 ounce of cheese)

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Beat sour cream and cream cheese together; add all other ingredients except the reserved cheese. Hand stir the ingredients with spatula or spoon. Do NOT use mixer as the spinach will turn the dip green. Spread the dip into a baking dish, sprinkle reserved cheese on top.

Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.

Serve hot with toasted French Bread or toasted Garlic Bread slices.

    and

    TGI Friday’s French Onion Soup

    Prep. Time: 0:35
    Serves: 4
    4 med. onions - sliced
    2 Tbls. real butter
    4 cups beef broth
1 Tbls. sherry - optional, but recommended
    1 Tbls. Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 dash ground thyme

-In a 2-quart saucepan over low heat, cook onions in butter for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
-Add remaining ingredients to pot; increase heat to medium-high and bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes.

Notes: Though not necessary to make this a superb soup, you may want to finish it off the way restaurants do: Once the soup is finished, divide into 4 soup crocks and top with sourdough or French bread cubes then shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese. Broil just until cheese has melted and browns slightly. Make sure to put the bread cubes in first (and not omit it if using cheese) because the cheese will sink to the bottom of the bowl.

Me too. I have some pretty good lazy-Thai type dishes that I make. I'd love to hear some stuff from raw-foodists. The whole raw food thing memorizes me. Raw pizza? Go on....
