Crossfingers Hey everyone! New to SW!!

Hey everyone. I'm new to SW. I'm very serious about becoming an exotic dancer. I found a club that I like and I have talked to the manager on numerous occasions. It sound pretty good to me. I really need the money right now to help out my family. I currently live with my mother and younger brother. Is there any way that I can hide the fact that I'm becoming a stripper? My mom thinks im going to be a waitress at the club, so at least she knows ill be at a strip club. I just need to know where I am going to hide my clothes and shoes, etc.

    Thanks in advance!!

When I lived at home I would wash my dancer gear when my folks were at work and put all of of it in the trunk of of my car before they came home.

Before I started dancing I actually did waitress at my club and our outfits were just plain black clothes-it could be any type of black shirts, skirts, shorts and pants, so I had those on hand to wear when I left for work.

After a while I just told them that I changed at work since our clothes were kind of revealing and we had lockers to keep our stuff in anyways (purses, etc.).

Hope that helps and good luck!

I wouldn't suggest lying to your mother. You never know what could happen like her saying you work there and then someone mentioning that they saw you dancing when they went in. It just wouldn't be good. If your mom is cool with you being at the club, why don't you just be upfront with her and tell her you want to dance because you'll make better money. If she's not okay with that, then try actually waitressing at the club for a bit and see if she warms up to the idea. If you love your mother, you respect her, and you want her trust... don't lie to her.
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Yeah...I would err on the side of telling your mom what you're doing.

You could also test the waters--tell her that you're waitressing, and then start mentioning how "easy" stripping looks...and how much more money you could be making if you stripped. "And it isn't that big of a deal....I mean it's no contact, etc. etc." Then you know (by her reaction to the hypothetical) how she'd react if you actually were to become a stripper.

Hmm... I'll trying warming up to her about it like Charllie said. She's kinda old fashioned, since my family comes from a poor country (Guyana), so it would be kinda difficult to tell her. I'll try though. The club that I'm going to work at is about an hour away and I haven't told anyone where it is. She knows where it is, but I know for a fact that she wouldn't take the time to find it (it's not her thing to visit me at work, thank god). So I think I'll be ok for the time being.

You guys are a HUGE help. I can come to you guys for anything!! Thanks!!

Dizzy partner doesn't like me working as stripper

i am just starting stripping and my girlfriend of 2 years doesn't like
what i am doing. she says she doesn't want to stop me if its something
i want to do, but she seems really sad whenever it comes up. we
have a big difference in incomes if i don't strip, so that is an issue too.
this helps me be more independent. does anybody else have problems
with how their partners react to their stripping or advice on how to deal
    with it??? THANK YOU!!!!

Evetease ^^-- you should start your own thread in the Life Support forum! (Or you could do an advanced search for topics like yours).

Threadjacking (bringing up your own issue in the middle of someone else's thread) probably won't get many replies about your specific question just because people won't see it.
