Question 3 weeks post lipo - concerns

    Hello everyone!

I'm 3 weeks post lipo (flanks & abdomen - little pooch) and have some concerns.

The Columbian beauty therapist who did my endermologie yesterday was a real pro where it comes to plastic surgery and was probing about my experience.

She said her compression garments were so tight she needed 2 people to get her into it and she looks AMAZING!

I WAS 30 inches round the waist and that''s the measurement I gave the nurse who ordered my garments. Seems ridiculous to stay in those garments after I've lost 4 inches.

Instead of being a compression girdle, it's just a really ugly girdle!

The new stuff I've ordered will fit me like a nightmare = dream because it will be so tight!

Since yesterday, I'm wearing a leather boned corset day and night until the new one comes!

My compression garment has never been tight and I wonder if I can still heal into a good shape (I'm a little lumpy and a bit swollen at the moment) with a new compression garment which fits nice and tight?

    Thank you in advance.

When I had lipo my compression garment was tight but maybe it could have been tighter. Its supposed to be tight so you wont heal unevenly, with lumps etc. I would go back and see your doctor if possible.

Please take off the corset and wear a tight girdle instead. You want something that compresses your body evenly or you will wind up with lumps. the corset could create grooves where the bones and grommets are and may be too tight, plus it will squish in your waist more than your pooch and not give the ideal shape in my opinion.

It does not have to be ridiculously tight, just very snug. I have had quite a bit of cosmetic surgery, including lipo, and am close friends with a surgeon and I really recommend following their advice. I used 2 pair of super small (childrens) leotards with legs after my lipo because my garment was a bit loose, but my friend had good results using a waist girdle from macys. Good luck with your surgery, I am healing from a boob and lip job at the moment myself.
